Dealer advertises prices much lower than what they are trying to sell for. I was looking to purchase a vehicle that is listed for ******, It is listed for that price on the companies personal website, as well as other third party sites. The seller tried charging me ****** before fees, which are all bogus. Based on past reviews, it seems I am not the only individual to have issues with this.

The last Dec 26, 2022 My husband and I, bought a used car black *** X3 2016. We found online web site where said the price $14,444 . When we go to the dealer they put something warranty from Carfax they said the car will be protected for 1 year for any repair on it, that warranty was a *******, after that they add taxes and fees for plates and registration, that amount was not specified. We paid $8000 for down payment and they financed $16,865.69 with **** of America for 72 months ( they never ask to me if I agree or not). They promise us for plates and registration definitely for 2 years from ******** and within 30 days in which was not fulfilled. The car was not move since January 23,2023 because the provisional plates from ************** expired that day. Today I already received the provisional plates from ************** with one month of expiration, that we wasn't taking about. The information from MVA here is I have to do Safety Inspection and pay the registration for 2 years (additional cost for us) We already paid for all that. When we bought the car they never said about the recall from the ***, Also the December 30, 2022 the car stopped suddenly and we couldn't start it to go home, we had to call a towing special service ($150) to take it to the repair shop where diagnostics the car had a burn the fuel pump and module change. All the reparations take a week with a cost $1524.95. I called to the dealer and they replied that I take the car so that their mechanic can see it there, I said about to cover the expenses but never said they will pay for that. My complaint is that They have to assume the expenses that We have made in addition to the transportation costs on days without our car and they have to pay for the registration and plates.***************************** and ***********************.

I went in to test drive and ultimately buy a vehicle 2014 ******** E350 in August at ********** Motorsports located at ****************************************************************. Online the car priced at ******. After all taxes and fees I was informed the car cost went up to an amount of 34k with financing. I had already agreed to a down payment of $3000. I continued to ask about the fees which doubled plus but was ensured those are regular taxes and fees. I ask about the price of the vehicle for $ ***** which was not documented anywhere on my paperwork, the owner (***************** ) said the advertised price was just to bring customers in. I felt trapped and baited into a deed for a car I really wanted. In addition to that its been 4 months since I ve been on hold waiting for a part of my car that should have been bought by the company as agreed upon sale. ******** cover I can provide a picture of sale via email when responding to someone.

False advertising of $16,995 with my trade in balance of $2017.99 they added additional taxes/fee of over $15,000 total amount of loan $33,700.50. Refused to use my already approved loan from my bank and was told that they will have to submit it on their own to my bank for the approval but was forced to use their bank with higher interest. False carfax shown/copy not given car shows evidence of an accident, i was yelled at by the financial manager when I tried to ask questions about my loan.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and found that there was a big misunderstanding/confusion on the hard to read/see signed agreement. I signed an auto agreement cost of ********* not $33,670.10(this price is outrageous). How is the company auto advertisement of $16,990 (please see attached), plus the balance from my trade in $2017.99 and additional taxes/fee equal to a loan of $33,670.10? That is over $10,000 extra, How? Plus the company promised then refused to use my bank approved loan and forced me to sign with *********** with higher interest rates. Also the vehicle shows signs of an accident.

I am requesting the cancellation of this agreement and that a new agreement be written up with the advertised price of $16,990, my trade in $2017, plus Certification, sales tax and Dmv fees but NO down payment fee (which I told you more then 5 times, no down payment and we both agreed) NO delivery fee(,I picked it up) NO prep fee which should total $********* again.

I will stop in on Monday 9/29/2022 at 2pm to have this done, please send a confirmation to my request.

      Sincerely,
      *******************************

I bought a 2017 Discovery Sport SE to this dealer Greatneck motorsport on Jan. 30 2022 with a advertised price of ****** but when I signed the contract the total price is way much higher which is ********* . I've even down to them for ***** cash . So I still have a car loan which they provide amounting *********. To be paid within 72 payments of ****** .So there is interest charge of *******. So the total including the ****% interest is *********. I called **** of america to stop the loan process because there is a fraud on this transaction since the collection has not started yet. It will start on march 15, 2022. They have many hidden fees and why they have come up with the total price. On the contract they put different seller's name **************** **** There is also another total amount of ********* . The dealer representative try to distract my attention of the transaction so i can't focused of the contract amount. They gave me first an unreadable contract so i asked them a good one. I wanna return this car to them and get my refund. They gave me only one broken key for the car. Almost hard for me to open the car. Please help on this matter.

      Hi ***********
When you visited my office I clearly remember I explained you the entire breakdown of the transaction and once you had agreed we continued to proceed to print the documents and then you signed it and I gave you copy of your signed agreement  copy ,I remember you were very happy with transaction,You should know  very well know the finance charges are from the bank when you take a loan and sales tax goes to the government and dmv charges go for the title, plates and 2 yrs registration fees,I apologies for the broken key since it was a used car it only came with the broken key so here is what i will do for you ,Please bring the vehicle registration card and copy of title which you should receive shortly to the dealership and we will get you a replacement key from the land rover
      Thank you

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because

Yes, He explained that to me. There is nothing wrong with the computation but it's the figures of the cash price including the sales tax that is not correct. The total computation of the cash price should be $****** (****** +3,998+3495+1995 ) . The sales tax should be $1,179.12 (****** x 4% sales tax for vehicles). So, the total cash price including the sales tax should be $30,657.12 . Cash price including the sales tax in the contract $34,873.72 less $30,657.12 is $4,216.60. This difference $4,216.60 should be refunded to me. It's not fair on my part as a buyer who already paid a big amount on those charges and also got an overprice amount . It's too much. I know this is not a mistake. I hope this clear to them.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The amount financed is $27,335.72. The amount in the contract will stay the same. I just need a refund from you (dealer) because of the high amount you put on the Cash price and sales tax in the contract. (Itemization of Amount Financed No. 1). Total cash price should be $****** (****** + ***** + ***** for luxury car + *****). And the new corrected ** sales tax should be $1,986.04 (****** + *****%). The total cash price + ** sales tax should be $31,964.04 and not $34,873.72 (in the contract). There is a difference of $2,909.68. That amount $2,909.68 should be refunded to me. I am busy. Sorry. Just show me the breakdown for us to see.
