Date of Transaction: 2/20/2024 $3,500 Architecture Drawing. Joe stated that he needed a downpayment of $3,500 to consider his services for an addition on our home. We discussed with him that we have plans to have other proposals from other construction companies, and that we would let him know if we wanted to hire him or not. He was extremely adamant that this is how it's done. He said that the $3,500 would be credited back to us if we decided to use another construction company. He explained this to both my wife and myself. I reached out to him on March 15,2024, stating that we had decided on another company for work to be performed and to credit us back the $3,500. He said that was not the case. He claimed that and that the $3,500 was for architectural drawings. We did not sign any paperwork for him to move forward with any drawings. He sent us a very basic drawing that I will be very happy to share with you. The drawing has no stamp on it from an architect. I also discussed this with another contractor and an architect. They both stated that these would never be approved by the Town of Perinton.Business response

I have attached the architectural drawings and a text from the homeowner stating he got the drawing which would void his initial complaint. ****, the homeowner wanted to have an addition built off the back of his house. I went out took measurements and explained our process to him. I told him the next step would be to move forward with architectural plans for a fee of $3500. I also told him that if he moved forward with this project, i would deduct the $3500 from the total cost of the project. After several attempts of follow up with ****, he finally answered me back saying he chose another contractor which is perfectly fine. He then stated he wanted his $3500 back after my architect had already drawn his plans and emailed them over a week in advance. The homeowner paid for architect plans and received them 3 days later and then now wants his money back. A service was provided to the homeowner.Initial Complaint

I hired this company to renovate my bathrooms. This was over all a horrible experience. The main complaint is that they left my plumbing not up to code (no trap in the shower). After 2 weeks of sewer gasses in my home and being lied to by the business owner (he claimed he couldn't get in touch with his employee over those 2 weeks to go fix my pipes) I finally called a plumber. I spent $554.29 getting my plumbing back up to code. The owner is ignoring me and not reimbursing me for these costs.Business response

AllPro was contracted on 4/18/22 to convert a screen porch into a 3 season room. Down payment of $2550 paid. Work was started at the end of October. Second payment of $4500 made. Sliders that were installed were defective. Noticed by us, not installers. Had to be replaced. One of the replacement doors still not right. All sliding windows installed collect water and are incredibly hard to lock. Screens barely stay in. AllPro has still not fully addressed the issue for us. Have asked for repairs/replacements and have still not heard back. Joe from AllPro told us they were using “middle of the road products”. Windows used are sold at discount stores and are very poor quality. Drywall was installed without R13 insulation which was in the contract. AllPro had to return to drill holes and blow in insulation. Final payments of $3200 and $6750 were made on 11/8/22 and 11/9/22. Total paid was $17000. We would like to be refunded for the cost of a better quality window product so we can have windows that lock correctly and do not leak. Joe (owner) has not been responsive besides a few unprofessional text messages.Business response

In regards to this complaint, he failed to mention i had my guys go back and add insulating weather stripping to windows and correct the door. Not everything is always perfect but we made it right. And everything was working great.Customer response

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.As a novice when it comes to construction/contracting, everything appeared to be fine. After a few weeks, issues started to appear. I’ve attached a screenshot of a conversation with Joe from November 29, 2022, a few short weeks after “completion”, regarding a leaking window. Joe said he’d follow up regarding fixing/replacing the window. Nothing was done. The window, along with most of the others, continue to collect water. Regarding the “hazardous/dangerous” part of his response, my wife can’t completely secure the windows. I work overnights and her not being able to properly lock and secure our windows leaves them susceptible to break ins which I would certainly consider dangerous.
