I have had a camping membership with this company for about 10 years. Last year I tried to cancel or find a way out of my membership because I no longer have a camper and do not have the desire to go camping. I have paid $350 per year for the membership. I tried to reach Shasta the owner with no success. She is a ghost. She will never respond to repeated messages, or emails. Her employees just cover for her as she is NEVER available. There is no customer service to help me with my situation.. Now the company that collects the membership fee has now put me in collections for $464.17 I want a resolution to this situation and be taken out of collections.

In mid-December, we started to contact Saratoga Escapes Lodge & RV resort. While visiting my Mom, we learned that she started contacting them in 2019 (7 times) to discontinue using their program as her husband had passed away several years ago and they haven't owned an RV for over 10 years. We learned that she has been paying a $311 yearly maintenance fee to this resort for years even though she and her husband haven't owned an RV for well over 10 years. She is in her mid-80's and on a fixed income. She can't afford to spend that kind of money on a service she has never used. We have been calling regularly to speak to anyone who can help us. Noelle has told us that we need to contact Shauna, as she is the one who can take care of this problem. We have emailed Shauna on 4 different occasions, with no response. We were then told that Penny could help us, so we were given a different phone number and have left her numerous voicemails to no avail. We have contacted them via Facebook, email, and phone numbers. We have also contacted the billing company, Conrad, who has sent Saratoga Escapes an email stating this same issue. They will no longer answer our phone calls or emails. We have researched this company and continue to see that this is a common issue. We are very concerned and need to know how to resolve this matter. We feel like Mom is being taken advantage of as they never resolved it in 2019, as requested. Here we are in 2022 and feel that she is absolutely being manipulated as she is elderly. They are aware they she has lost her husband and does not camp or have an RV.

Have been trying to reach Saratoga Escapes to update membership information due to pending divorce and cannot reach staff - no answer, no voicemail. Tried calling collection agency phone number - no answer. Tried calling Camp Advisors 4880-444-5999 (AZ) as listed on bank statement attached to automatic monthly withdrawal - told they cannot provide live customer service for this account and no further information provided. Camp Advisors is aka Equiant Financial Services. They're taking money from my account each month but I can't update my billing address or get any answers about my contract. I don't have any of the original paperwork (ex-wife has it) so I wanted to talk to company to get things straightened out because I'm paying the bill. Concerned this is a scam and that it is damaging my credit because they have sent me to collections previously.

Mr. ***** **** reached out to the BBB to inquire about his membership agreement with Saratoga Escape and financing with Equiant Financial Services/Camp Advisor Group. He was calling the payment processor instead of the office, so we quickly followed up with the customer and sent him copies of his membership agreement and gave him instructions on how to remove himself or ex wife from the membership agreement. He now has adequate lines of communication with the resort and the billing agency moving forward.

While speaking with the customer, we were able to update billing addresses and cell phone numbers for our records as well.

There is no further action needed at this time.

      Thank you!
