Sidney federal is refusing to remove simple late payments from my credit report that’s been paid off for over 1 year. They state that they don’t do that unless it’s their “fault” but I have other accounts that they have removed similar or worse statuses off without me even asking. I haven’t been late on a single payment in over 1 year and their uncooperativeness is preventing me from providing a house for my family. All I want is the late payments removed from my closed auto loan.

Good afternoon, This is in response to the complaint that was received regarding the request to remove a late payment from a member’s credit report.  Credit reporting is predicated on a number of things including undiluted and complete reporting accuracy. We would be jeopardizing the integrity of the credit reporting system, not to mention in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act if we knowingly reported inaccurate data to any of the credit bureaus by removing a delinquency that was in fact reported correctly. We reached out to the individual that filed the complaint by phone to offer further explanation and review additional avenues on how we may be of assistance.  We went on to explain that the only time we will take corrective action is if the item being disputed was due to an error by our lending institution. A consumer statement can be added to a credit report at the request of the consumer to each of the three major credit bureaus to offer further explanation for the credit report blemish. Unfortunately, we were not able to provide the consumer the resolution they were looking for and unable to remove the delinquency as requested. Nicole K***  Sr. Vice President of Lending ******* ************  *  ******* ************ ** ***** *** ******* ** ***** **** * ****** **************

on January 6, 2023 I went into the greene branch and paid off my credit card and emptied all of my accounts. at that time I asked the teller to close all of my accounts. I have just learned that they chose to keep my accounts open and I now have new charges on said credit card. I have tried to remedy this over phone and the woman, Sharon Hayes chose to keep my accounts open without my giving concent.

I'm writing you regarding ID *******. I investigated this complaint for ********. We had submitted a dispute for a charge that was made on his checking account. With a pending dispute we can't close an account until that dispute is resolved. On January 18, Our Regional Branch AVP called and spoke with ********, and he decided to cancel the dispute and closed the account.

This complaint has been resolved and all of ********'s account are now closed

This credit union has been attempting to collect on a debt that is not owed. They refused to show the debt or any of the previous payments. I would gladly pay if I owed them. They garnished my pay once for a debt and that was paid in full. Now they want to collect again. For what?
