Ulster Appliance Repair in ********, ** was used by me to repair a water leak in my refrigerator. The so called repair man came and called himself cleaning the defroster. Charged me $426.68. This was September 27, 2021. Three days later, September 30, 2021, I called them again to let them know the leak was still there and had not been repair. He brought a small unit he claimed was a new filter to replace an older one in the refrigerator. That repair cost me me $340.48. Two days later I called the company and complained that the problem had not been repaired and I was not paying them anymore money. The lady I spoke to said they would come again. I told her I did not want the same repairman and would not be paying anymore money. At that point she said they would refund my money the following Monday, October 4, 2021. When the money did not arrive by Friday of that week I called them again. The same lady this time said they would only be refunding $200, because the rest was service charge. I was very angry. I said are you telling me that service charge was over $500 for a job not completed? She had no answer.!! She suggest calling my bank and stopping the checks. I explained to her the checks had already been cashed. Still waiting for the $200 refund. This company needs to be put out of business so no one else has to experience the same ripoff as I did.
