I worked with Great Lakes Classics via telephone and internet for several months, starting in September 2022 about a 1969 ******* ****** Convertible (serial number ***********, stock #****). Based on the listing for the car and the multiple phone calls and emails I had with the salesman, I was assured the car was in top condition and the car had no issues. When I would ask for specifics, I was referred to the "extensive restoration" the car had supposedly undergone. I was told multiple times the car had an extensive record of photos taken during the restoration and receipts for everything would be provided. I struggled with purchasing a car as expensive as this without actually inspecting in myself in person and driving it, but I was assured Great Lakes Classics were professionals at dealing with classic cars and they went through an extensive inspection before they ever listed the cars for sale, much less sold to a customer. Late January 2023 I made the decision to purchase the car and it would be delivered to me in Gerogia via enclosed trailer. Each time I would ask for a delivery date, I was not given an answer other than vauge responses like "it takes time to schedule" or "soon". On February 6th 2023 I asked about the delivery date of the ****** and was told by the salesman the car needed brake work, specifically a "proportioning valve" I was initially appreciative they caught the issue before the car arrived and thanked the salesman. On Feburary 15th I asked again for a planned delivery date for the ****** and was told Great Lakes Classics was "still working on it", apparently the car had some brake cylinders fail and needed additional hardware. On February 18th I received a text from salesman showing a picture of the ****** loaded on a trailer and the message "See you on Monday". Monday February 20th, 2023 the ****** was delivered approxinmately on noon. When the driver started to unload the car he told me he would not attempt to start the engine as it ran rough when he took delivery of the car in New York and had a very difficult time keeping the engine running while he loaded the car. He also complained the brakes were terrible. Once the car was off the trailer I got in the driver's seat and begin to attempt to start the car to pull into my driveway and get the car out of the street. Sure enough, the engine was very hard to start and would not idle. I assumed the engine was cold and perhaps had moisture in the tank as it was nearly empty and I knew the car had been sitting for many months at Great Lakes Classics facility. I managed to limp the car into my driveway, and began closely inspecting the car. * brakes inoperable and full of air * tachometer inoperable * horn inoperable from steering wheel * parking brake inoperable * passenger side window out of track and will not roll up or down * steering was very poor, turned out to be completely worn out upper and lower control arms and driver side brake spindle-car was UNSAFE to drive * dash lights do not work * convertible top inoperable and top is stuck in down position * passenger side tail lights sporadically work-suspected grounding issue None of these issues were divulged to me by the salesman and when I addressed my concern there was no concern shown, nor offer of solution. Repeated requests to speak with the owner have gone ignored. I believe Great Lakes Classics should pay for these numerous issues to be repaired, or pick up the car and provide a FULL REFUND
