I ordered coins from JAS Galleries (*************************) in October 26, 2022. The coins were not satisfactory, so I returned them within the 30 day period. Infact the coins were retuned within 15 days and eligible for a full refund. I decided to exchange for bricks, but ************** sent me a blank contract that I did not want to sign, so that exchange was never made. ************** refused to refund me fully. First claiming he did not receive the coins in time and then changed his return policy on his website from 30 days to 14 days. To this day, he has not refunded me. He has the coins so he received the product and also refused to issue a full refund that is due to me. He insisted on charging an exorbitant 25%restocking fee which I did not agree to, and has not refunded a single ***** to this day. I am claiming a full refund. His story changes each time and he refuses to issue the refund, Coins were received by me on 10/17/2022 and I mailed them on 10/30/2022. The receipt is attached and ************************* received the coins 11/02/2022. Well within the thirty day period from receipt to return.

Customer did not return the coins within the 14 day time period and refused to pay the restocking fee.

Here is the link for company return policy: *************************************************

Customer also agreed to an exchange and then did not want to sign the trade agreement, which is attached here. We tried to work with the customer to come to a resolution, but stop hearing back.

I'm dealing with a rare coin dealer in **********, NY owner by *************************. I have made a purchase or two from his firm in the last 6 months and asked if he was interested in consigning 39 high-grade gold, platinum, and silver coins on my behalf. He was very interested. So I mailed him the coins in three shipments with the first being received on Jan 14, 2022 using US Registered Mail. That was 11 weeks ago. At present, he really hasn't done much...and is just now scanning the coins and getting them on his web site. He seems to have his plate full with other tasks and has been unable to sell any of the coins except one, which was sold at the spot price of gold and for which I have yet to receive compensation This morning, March 29th, I contacted him and suggested he return the remaining coins and we just part ways on the consignment process. He became angry and gave a number of excuses as to why not much has happened from my perspective. He's made claims that he has called me frequently (which he hasn't), nor has he provided me any updates or status on what is happening with these coins. Now he is asking for me to financially compensate him for this effort expended (I don't see much effort) before returning the coins. Essentially, he is holding my coins hostage and wants compensation, which was never discussed during our talks. I even told he could subtract the shipping/insurance costs from the single coin he did sell, but he angrily told me that wasn't enough. I need help in retrieving my property from this firm and its' owner, *************************.
