Hi, my name is *******. I recently bought a piece of property where the lawyer was holding my money in escrow. They paid for the survey for me, but the survey was never truly completed. There are no iron pins outside. I paid $1000 for a survey that hasn’t even been complete and the lawyers are saying that it’s not their problem. Needless to say I’ve been trying to get in contact with my lawyers throughout this whole process. It has been nothing but a headache no calls no answers late emails constantly out of the office and then they want to hang up on me when I get frustrated. All that I want is to make sure I’m buying the property that I was told I was buying without a survey I cannot do that. This lawyer is a sham and they are doing nothing to help me. They took my money and now I want to do nothing at all. They told me it’s not their problem , but I’ve already paid them please someone reach out to me. I don’t know what to do and beyond in these people are taking advantage of me. Everything has been done over the phone as they do not ever answer the phone. I only get a couple minutes with very short answers please please help.

I have received the complaint filed by ******* ********.  I represented Mr. ******** with respect to his purchase of a parcel of real estate. Mr. ******** complaint revolves around the survey that was completed on the property.  I received the survey map prior to closing the sale and there were not any boundary line issues. After closing, Mr. ******** went to the property and noticed that there were no survey pins on the property.  It is my understanding that he called the surveyor and was told that they do not put the pins in until they have been paid in full for the survey.  Closing had just occurred a day or two earlier and the survey is paid by the sellers attorney from the closing proceeds. It would be expected that the surveyor would not have received payment yet as the check would have been mailed to him.  Nonetheless, when my secretary told me of the issue, I contacted the sellers attorney as well as the surveyor to check on the status. The sellers attorney's office confirmed that they were paying the bill and the surveyor went to the property the next day and put the pins in. My secretary advised me that Mr. ******** was very rude and demeaning when he called about the issue. She told him that we did not have any control over when the surveyor put the pins in but that we would check on the situation.

In response to Mr. ********'s claim relating to phone calls with my staff, I will say that he was extremely rude throughout the process and would yell at the secretary who was handling his file and would use obscene language when angry.  Because of that, my secretary would tell him to call back when he calmed down and then she would hang up the phone.  She does not deserve to be verbally abused by anyone.  Also, when Mr. ******** called back the next day, he verbally abused a secretary in my office who had not worked on the file.  This abuse was to such an extent that my secretary was crying when she got off the phone with him. After that call, I telephoned Mr. ******** and left a voicemail confirming that I would contact the surveyor to check on the status of putting the pins in.  I also told Mr. ******** that I did not want him to speak with any of my secretaries anymore.  There is no way that I will allow anyone to yell at my staff and use foul language to them.

I have an extremely good reputation with respect to handling real estate transactions.   If anyone contacts the real estate agents in my area and asks how well my office handles real estate transactions, I can guarantee you that every one of them would give us very high praise. Except for the constant verbal assaults on my staff, Mr. ******** transaction closed without any delays or poor service on my part.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]

      Regards,

      ******* ********

This is 100%untrue from being passed around from person to person with response at all nothing got done untilll I called and got nasty no phone calls got returned till days after the inquiry this law off is very closed door and not willing to help when I asked for help they told me to hire them on retainer instead of doing the job I paid them to do not only that…. They only started the calls and actions after I said I was reporting them. So do the math I tell them I’m gonna file a complaint and then they decide to do the work.
