I brought my car to Warren Tire on 5/21/2024, as the emergency brake cable was broken, and also needed my car to be inspected. Dropped it off at 7:30am and received a phone call from a man named Brett around 9:30am saying they just looked it over, he stated they’ve only changed 2 emergency brake cables but could do it. I received a phone call at 2;58pm stating my vehicle was inspected and cable was fixed and car was ready to go. Upon picking up my vehicle, I noticed a brand new scratch and on my back bumper. Never thought to check my ebrake before leaving as I was annoyed about the scratch. Finally on Friday 5/24, I thought to test the brake out, lo and behold it was still not working and my car immediately started rolling. I was just getting ready to go into work when I realized this so I couldn’t call the repair shop. After my shift, I had to pick my 2 children up from the sitters (11:30pm) and when my daughter was buckling up in the seat, she realized the buckle was not in the car!! The strap was there but no buckle to buckle it!!! They never replaced the seat belt. So not only did they pass my car inspection with the emergency brake being faulty and not working, but they also passed it without having 5 properly working seatbelts!!!!!! After the limo crash in Schoharie County because of faulty brakes, you would think repair shops would be more careful. How are they able to operate?! If they did this to me, I can’t imagine what else they’ve done. They also charged me about $170 an hour for labor when my vehicle was only in the shop for 4 hours and it’s still not fixed!!! I’m fuming that my children were put in harms way, with faulty ebrake and no seatbelt!!!!!! Note: they want me to return Thursday 5/30/2024 for it to be fixed, but I’m not sure I trust them working on my vehicle anymore.Business response

I understand that you're unhappy with the recent service you received. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
We are aware that you made an appointment to address this issue but could not make it on May 30th and informed us that you would call us back to reschedule.
We do not have to remove the seat belts to install the new cable, but we do have to lift the rear bottom seat to complete this repair. We apologize but the buckle must have slipped behind the seat. We can look and assist in getting that in a better position. We also can see if the new parking brake needs to be adjusted more to your liking.
We also don't need to access the back of the car, but the technician recalls that he had lowered it down while working on the vehicle to allow another person to remove needed softball equipment from the rear. Perhaps the scratch was from that action.
We take your feedback seriously and will work to address the issues you've raised.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
