I contracted for manufacture of a winter boat cover and Bimini and Dodger for my Hunter 460 in September 2021. The boat cover was to be delivered by the end of November, 2021 and the ******/Dodger in April 2022. The cover was paid for and delivered in November, 2021, but didn't fit properly. The owner was notified, and came up to re-measure the cover, removed it, and made adjustments. The cover was returned in mid-November, but again there were a significant number of problems with the fit. They were documented in an email with photographs on 11/22/2021. I was subsequently contacted by the owner who said he would attend to the discrepancies the next time he was in Newport. I contacted the Company a number of times in December and January, and was told that the delay was due to illness, and then a death in the family. I next contacted the Company on April 18, 2022 to find out when my ******/Dodger would be delivered, and when the winter cover would be repaired. My old ****** and dodger were taken in October by the old owner, *****, to be used as a pattern. I was informed that the Company had been bought out by a new owner, and they were not aware of my previous business with the Company. I was told that they did not have the old dodger and bimini. I emailed the new owner, *******************, on 4/18/2022 detailing the situation, and requested that she call me in the next couple of days, at her convenience to discuss the matter. I have not heard back from the Company, nor ************, despite repeated calls to the company.Customer response

At this time, I have not been contacted by The Canvas Store regarding complaint ID ********. I have also tried calling them, again, leaving a voicemail asking that they contact me back by phone. I did not get a return call.

I ordered a custom winter cover for my sailboat in September of 2021. In October the owner ***** came down to my boat to take measurements. The cover was completed in November, shipped to me and my credit card charged for the balance of the work ($3000) . When I put the cover on the boat, the aft section did not fit correctly and was clearly not made to the correct dimensions. After several emails back and forth with the Canvas Store they agreed to make a new aft section for the cover. I waited a couple of months and never received a new aft section of the cover as they promised. I emailed them again and the story changed, "We will fix the aft section of the cover when you take it off the boat in the spring." Now that it is Spring the company claims that ***** sold the business and the new owners no longer do winter covers. They are unwilling to fix my cover and the previous owner ***** does not respond to his emails.Customer response
