Hi there! I saw ad on cars.com on 6/15/22 about 2018 Tesla for sale. I called to dealer and had an test drive on 6/15/22 and bought the car on 6/16/22. ****** asked me to take the car on 6/22/22. I paid 10000$ down payment and picked up my car. I worked salesperson *****************************. When I came to pickup my car they informed me that they just realized that car doesnt have a FREE SUPERCHARGING feature which was main part of the deal. Then, they offered me 3400$ cashback if I still want to keep the car. On that time my credit was ran several times by this dealer (I agreed to run my credit, only because they assured me that car has free unlimited supercharging option) and all paperwork was done. I had no other choice than accept it. After that, I said them that I'm an Uber driver and have to start working ASAP. Sales manager said, all process of registration transfer will be done in one week at most (he will personally control it). After one month of waiting and texting to dealer, I called NY DMV. In DMV they informed my that old loan on car is still not cleared and no registration transfer will be made until old lien will be paid off. Then, I checked lien status on on DMV website. It shows (still shows) that lien from ********************* placed on 4/16/21 still on car. I called ********************* and they said they cant give too much info, but they were nice enough and said that this car has unpaid loan on their system. Then, I called dealer again and asked to talk with person who handles the registrations. Operator transferred me to lady, after listening of the story, she said she dont want to talk to me and I have to call to my salesperson ad he will talk to her and my salesperson is on vocation. Until now, I have no registration and my temporary registration is ends in 3 days. I lost at least 5 weeks of my gross earnings which is 10000$ on UBER BLACK car. Until now, I'm paying luxury car insurance, bank interest, parking for my car etc. and not working.Business response

Good evening and my apologies for the delayed response.
We took the Tesla in on trade-in on 3/31/2022
We sent the payoff check on 4/4/2022 to pay off the loan on that vehicle that was financed through Pentagon Federal credit union and we received the lien release 12 days later in the mail.
We sold the vehicle and delivered it on 6/22/2022 to ************* **********. On delivery or the day before their was conversation about registering the vehicle a certain way as he planned on using the vehicle for Uber.
At that time we explained that we can not issue plates as we normally would at the store and we would need to send his DMV to partnering which assists us with any registration outside of passenger plates as well as out of state DMV.
We issued the customer a temporary registration while we waited to receive the registration from NYS DMV. After about a week to 10 days my ****** started calling DMV to see what the hold up was and was told she needed to wait for ******** to assist with this type of plate and to be patient. We called Mon, Wed, and Fri of each week until the vehicle was finally registered on 8/4/2022 at 2:26pm.
At that time we reached out to the customer with the news and overnighted him his registration immediately.
I wish I could provide more info with why the hold up with NYS DMV, but the important part is the customers vehicle is registered and the issue has been resolved.
