On April 11, 2022 at approximately 8:55 am I was involved in a car accident which was the fault of the other driver making a U-turn. I was recommended to a shop by a family member, Motorsports Collision in ***********, **** I called the shop and the owner ***** came later in the day and towed the vehicle to the shop on April 11. It took three weeks for the adjuster to issue the check for $10,738 which was issued to the shop. On May 9th the check was deposited. The shop agreed to offer me a newer front end changing the lights, fenders, and bumper from a 2016 to a 2019 style. ***** mentioned it will take a few weeks for the repair and he can start working on it since he has received payment. The difference was minimal and the shop agreed to do it since I was using them. I re-visited the shop each week and saw that the car was still sitting on the same trailer that it was picked up on one month later. I questioned ***** and he gave me excuses that the parts were not available. I reached out to the dealer as well as the suppliers for the parts and all the parts were available. It turns out ***** wanted to order parts from ***** which are much cheaper but the time frame is unpredictable. Since it was over a month that the car was not even touched, we finally took a written statement from the shop stating the car will be ready on June 23. On June 23rd the car was off the trailer but the only thing that was done to the car was both fenders installed and the hood was installed but the driver side suspension was still broken and the wheel was bent. I would re-visit the shop a few times a week and the car was just sitting on a side and they were working on newer jobs that were coming in. They would ignore me and block my number. I finally was able to get another written statement stating the car will be complete on July 21. Their excuse was they didn't have enough funds to finish the car since they are giving me newer 2019 front end parts. The car was done August 12.
