On Nov 10th 2023 I get an email to my business email address From *************************** of Lendtek. The email explains that my business loan application is almost complete and they just need me to upload my July, August, September and October ************* statements. There is just one problem here, I NEVER filled out any loan application. I responded to *************************** on Nov 10, 2023 and informed him that he is being scammed and to remove any application information that he received from "me". I told ******* that whatever info they received on my behalf is fraudulent. I asked some questions about my social security number and what info was sent to them. And also I asked what their company does to protect people from this type of fraud. I received no response. On Nov 10, 2023 I called Lendtek **************. Left a message. I didn't get a return call. On Nov 10, 2023 I received another email from *************************** at Lendtek. Telling me he is bumping this email to the top of my inbox. Asking me to update the missing fields in my application. Nov 11, 2023 I receive another email from *************************** at Lendtek. Asking to discuss my options. On November 12, 2023 ******* from Lendtek sent me a text message stating " we're looking to extend you an offer. How much capital are you seeking?" I replied Three Fiddy. On Nov 13, 2023 I received an email from *************************** again telling me that they have received my funding request and it's almost finished. On Nov 13, 2023 at 2:20 PM I called *************************** at Lendtek again. I left a message with the receptionist for him to call me back. He didn't return my call. On Nov 14, 2023 at 12:43 PM I called *************************** at Lendtek. He was not there. On Nov 14, 2023 at 1:29 PM I called Lendtek and asked to be removed from their marketing lists. The receptionist took my information and told me that she will let that department know. This company is being evasive and seems very scammy. I want to know what information they have on my "application"

On October 24, 2023, I received a text message claiming to be from ******* in underwriting at LendTek, regarding funding for a business I do not own somehow my phone number has been associated with a business capital application for another *********************** in ********, and Ive been fielding these sorts of marketing calls/texts for two months now. I texted ******* back explaining that I wasnt who he was looking for. Instead of ending the interaction, ******* continued to ask for me to enter business information and asked to set up a time to call to get the business details. At no point was it disclosed by the business that this was a text system with an opt out option, and only after seeing other complaints did I try texting stop and get a message indicating I was being removed. This is absolutely unprofessional, both continuing to harass me after I made it clear that I wasnt who they were looking for AND not disclosing that there was an option to opt out of receiving future texts.

      Dear **************,
I am writing to you on behalf of Lendtek and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you have been experiencing. We fully understand your concern and agree that receiving unsolicited text messages can be quite troublesome.

At Lendtek, we place utmost importance on the privacy of individuals and our standards dictate that we immediately rectify any errors that *** have inadvertently occurred. This is clearly unacceptable and we assure you that we are taking immediate action to address this.

We also appreciate your feedback regarding the interaction with our underwriting representative, *******. We aim to provide a high level of professional service and it is evident that we have fallen short of this in your case. We have taken your concerns on board and commenced the process to eliminate your contact details from our records to prevent future miscommunications of this nature.
Furthermore, we are refining our communication process to provide clear instructions for opting out of our messaging system, which we acknowledge was not adequately communicated in this instance.

Again, we extend our deepest apologies for the inconvenience caused by this error. We are grateful for your patience and understanding in this matter. Should you have any further concerns or suggestions, we are always available to assist.

My number is on the Do Not Call Registry. It has been on that registry since 2008. I have received multiple calls and texts from *************** - ***** from "Lendtek". He has called and he has texted and I have repeatedly advised that my number is on the Do Not Call Registry and that I do not want to be contacted. I have stated this on the phone and put this in writing. And I am repeatedly getting calls. Usually they are from the number stated, but they have also come from spoofed numbers. In each instance I cannot seem to get them to stop. Yesterday, 10/19/2023 I sent a request to Lendtek to get this to stop and following that request, I got another text from ***** from "Lendtek." The *** Registry and the laws surrounding that registry are strict liability. Each time a party calls a *** number, they are subject to a $500 fine up to treble damages or actual damages, whichever is greater. When the conduct is willful, there are fines ($3000) for each willful call. There is no defense as to these calls, particularly when I have repeatedly advised that my number is on the *** registry and that I do not want the calls. This refers to my personal number - ************. At this juncture I would like financial compensation for these calls.Thank you for your attention to this matter.*******,*****

Dear *** ************ deeply regret the inconvenience you have been experiencing. Please be assured that at Lendtek, we prioritize the privacy and peace of mind of individuals. We strictly adhere to the regulations surrounding the Do Not Call Registry. As a responsible business, we only initiate contact with those who have expressly given us permission to do so, and it is never our intention to inconvenience anyone.

Our preliminary investigation suggests that there may have been a typographical error on an application received from one of our partners which has unfortunately linked your contact details to another individual. We are addressing this matter with the utmost urgency to rectify the issue.

I want to assure you that Lendtek is committed to adhering to all rules and regulations surrounding communication and data privacy. We only engage in text communication with those individuals who have provided explicit consent, either directly or through our partners.

Please note that after reviewing our call logs and records, no telephone calls have been made from our end to your number. All communications were conducted via text messages and email withing the given rules and regulations of SMS messaging and the 10DLC registration.

We have initiated the process to remove your contact details from our database to prevent any further communication from our end. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work diligently to resolve this matter.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

On the one hand, the business is telling me that it seems to have been an error that put my information on their registry. On the other hand, I received calls and texts (the calls being denied). Whomever contacted me seemed to know my name so it seems to me that this could not have been an error. Moreover, I sent repeated requests that Lendtek not get in touch with me. There were a total of 5 texts and another about 5 telephone calls. It takes a lot to get me riled up and the constant calls and texts riled me up. So, I would like to be reimbursed the extent of the amount that has been accepted as a reimbursement for calls to the *** registry. Simply telling me that my number was on there in error (though it was called 5 times) and telling me that there were no phonecalls (but there were) does not absolve a company of calls to people on the *** list.  I am *********** compensation by law.

I sent *********************************** "A business advisor" with Lendtek, 4 bank statements as requested to apply for a business loan. I sent my bank statements to him on 8/1. I have not heard a response back from ****** since I gave him my bank statements. I have tried to contact ****** several times via phone and email without any responses. When you call the operator will say "everyone in the office is busy." I am filing this complaint to make sure that if Fraudulent Activity does happen to my account I will have documented proof of who it was, and to make sure no one else applies to their company. I was referred to them by NerdWallet online, which now I will be reaching out to them to inform them to remove this company's name/information/link from their website. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY.

      Hi *****,

We understand your concern and want to apologize for this confusion. After speaking with ****** and looking through your file with us, we have not received any response from you via SMS. After reviewing the emails we see that ****** has mentioned there isn't a high probability for an approval based on your current business status.

You mentioned that you have not heard from ****** since the submitting your bank statements on August 1st, but ****** sent you an email on August 2nd stating that we were having trouble getting approvals with the banks considering your credit score at this time. After the last email on August 2nd, ****** spoke to you over the phone and mentioned that there still weren't any approvals and your application was denied by the banks; the call was recorded.

Typically your business loan advisor will help coach you on the best ways to setup your business for an approval in the near future. This includes working on your credit score, increasing your monthly revenue and keeping your accounts stable and consistent. f you do not want to speak with ****** regarding this, we can set up a call with ******'s team leader to go over some of the best practices.

Regarding your concern about fraudulent activity, our office, computer systems and team members are constantly monitored and trained on handling sensitive information. We are here to help small business grow, not take information.

      Thanks for your understanding,

My business worked out a transaction in early May and has already received funding. I did not reach out to Lendtek. They have somehow text my family members (who don't work for my company, nor has info been given), have repeatedly text me (in which I respond to stop), emailed my office and myself (whom have asked them to stop), and I've personally called and left voicemails multiple times (in which I've never received a return call). This company will not stop, and it's more frequent now which tells me they are just trying to get on my nerves. I will contact the local authorities next, followed by the company lawyer. You will remove *********************************** ************************************* and any phone numbers associated with my file.

Good morning, ****. Last night, we conducted an audit on your file here at Lendtek. The only response we have on record was "I am shopping loan." We noticed that you never replied with "stop" via SMS or clicked "unsubscribe" via email, which would have automatically opted you out from the marketing material you initially agreed to when you were originally searching for a business loan.

We take customer satisfaction and compliance seriously, and we understand how this misunderstanding may have caused you frustration. We would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Lendtek is a reputable platform that small business owners rely on for assistance and guidance. Therefore, we kindly request that you update your review, as it could be misleading.

We will promptly remove your information from our system and add you to the national DNC (Do Not Call) list.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. We value your satisfaction and strive to provide the best possible service. If you have any further questions or concerns, please let us know

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Per the attachments in the original file, I have screenshots of the texts messages and emails asking for you to stop. All calls are recorded for quality assurance, to include situations like this, where I asked you to return my call as well as to stop contacting me. Your link to have anyone stop is broken and doesn't even allow anyone to opt out. It states, "unable to process request." This is predatory. Not one person returned my phone call after multiple phone calls to different people who were reaching out.
