Hello, my last auto insurance company, Westbury Lighthouse **** is neglecting to rectify an error made on their end & provide assistance with correctly honoring my request to cancel/transfer my insurance to another carrier. On October 1, 2022, I called Westbury Lighthouse **** and spoke to *****, to totally cancel my auto insurance because I was going to start a new auto policy with another insurance provider. Westbury Lighthouse *** has conflicting dates as to when I requested to cancel this policy and seems that they have kept the policy in-force after my request, in order to continue to generate a premium due. Westbury Lighthouse *** is refusing to assist with this because the representative I spoke to, *****, stated that I have to speak with ************************ a company that Westbury Lighthouse *** used for my auto-insurance policy, and claiming because Westbury Lighthouse *** are a third party that they have nothing to do with clarifying this matter. However, if is Westbury Lighthouse *** is the agency that I purchase this insurance from. I called several times to Westbury Lighthouse **** throughout this year (April 15 & May 1st), to try and understand why my cancelled policy in is collections with *********************** but I keep getting the "run around" and "bad connection on the call." I believe that I am being taken advantage by these insurance companies because I am a senior. Please help me address this matter and thank you for reading my complaint.Customer response
