Lucid is still in the very beginning stages of having approval from several insurance company. I have ***** my daughter had several visits to get shots in a keloid on ear from a piercing. Every two weeks the Dr also treated her for back acne. After several visits and 40 dollar co payments. I advised the treatment to her ear wasnt working. I want to have surgery to had it removed. At that point I started realizing that this Dr just wanted to continue to bill my insurance and get the co payment . Knowing that the keloid wasnt going to away. So during her next appointment I advised that I wasnt going to continue with the treatments and surgery was the best option. We scheduled an appointment and I rearranged my schedule to accompany my daughter. 2 days before the surgery the doctor ****** contacted me to tell me that they couldnt do the surgery because my insurance was technically official approved but I could pay 500 for each keloid with his four . Im so disgusted with this whole situation if my insurance wasnt approved why would u continue the visits.Business response

To whom it may concern,
The complainant's daughter presented to our office for keloid treatment. After two treatment visits, during which we addressed her other concerns as well, the patient's mother decided that she wanted to pursue surgery. At the time, the rendering provider told her to schedule an excision appointment not knowing at that time that the practice still had not been contracted with her particular insurance. Once management was aware of the situation, they informed her that she would have to wait to get the surgery until we were contracted with her insurance and that we would contact her once we received the contract from her insurance. From the beginning, the patient's mother was well aware of her other option which was to see any other doctor who is in network with her insurance for the surgery.
Upon receipt of this complaint, the rendering provider spoke to the patient's mother and explained the situation thoroughly. He told her that he understood her frustrations regarding her desire to get surgery and our current limitation regarding her insurance and that hopefully once the contract is received from her insurance, we can resume treatment if she so desires, otherwise, as always, she was free to receive services from any other physician who was contracted with her insurance. The patient's mother seemed very satisfied with the phone call and even stated that she would contact BBB to withdraw her original complaint as this was all a misunderstanding. As far as we know, this issues has been resolved from both parties.
We pride ourselves in the services we provide to our patients and our ratings and reputation, on line and off line, are a testament to that.
