      I bought a 2021 ******** ******** from James Chevrolet in Johnstown ny this is the second time writing to you about this company two separate issue . so on 1/6/24 my back up camera went on the van i called Chad K*** to see when i could i get it in to be repaired ,he said i will call you back well no call back for two days. So i called service the guy that and was very nice and looked it up for me then said u have no warranty on that car it has been three months i was like what Chad said i had 30000 mile left for warranty so he advise me to call a ******** dealer which i did come to find out that van had 2 recalls on it and they were never fixed before they put it on lot and i bought it they never said a word to me about the issues. Now it is going in the ******** dealer to see what they can do i paid alot of money for this van i feel i over paid as i looked everything up and the cash value is only 28,315 i would like to get some of my money back as i paid 37610.00 it would help with these repairs and i could get a better warranty these people are not trustworthy i am taking my van to **** ******** ******** in Johnstown on 1/19/24 to be repaired they are not sure if they can get camera fixed through manufactor or not but they said they will try and they are doing the recalls. with all this being said and the aggravation i have been through with this company i am asking for some money back on this car i over paid and the issues i am asking for at least10,000.00 back! thank you

      When we sold this vehicle on 8/14/2023 there was 30,545 miles on it, there was factory bumper to bumper up until 2/3/2024 or 36,000 miles, it also has powertrain up to 60,000 miles. The customer was also offered extended warranty protection but the customer declined. We sold the vehicle to the customer $1000 under our asking/internet price. Unfortunately the past few months the value on all vehicles has dropped considerably. I'm not completely understanding what the issues are, the back up camera should be covered under the "bumper to bumper" warranty. I apologize my salesperson did not "call you back" in the 2 days. Recalls are common in this industry so I'm not sure what I can do to help with that. The $10,000 that the customer is asking for is completely ridiculous, as far as I can tell the only mistake we made is not call the customer back within 2 days of her concern.

      We recently bought a truck on 4/23/23. We were to have a plow put on it. Truck went to the shop and the plow was not put on correctly. Couldn't even lift it off the ground. My truck also was damaged while there. Broken tailigh and damaged bumper and they refuse to take action.

      The customers truck is currently at the dealership for the necessary repairs. We are replacing taillight, rear bumper and beefing up the front suspension.

      The purchase option price is valid when the lease term is up. Unfortunately the lease still had 4 payments left. We charged a processing fee for handling the loan and the paperwork. The customer came back after a few weeks and I offered to buy the vehicle back at the same selling price I sold the vehicle to the customer for. We handled all of the paperwork and facilitated the deal, we do not work for free and shouldn't be expected to. We provided first class service to the customer and we are disappointed the customer did not reach back out to us to let us know they were unhappy.  We take pride in what we do and we will continue to do so. We will offer the customer a 4 year maintenance($601) package for any inconvenience that this has caused.

      i took my car to james chevrolet in johntown ny 12095 for a recall ,, my car never had a check engine light on when it went in for a recall a day later the light came on i called them and told them about it and they said it was not thier problem i would have to bring it back in and pay for it to be looked at and fix cause my warranty was up .. that should not matter they were the last one to touch my car .. I would like them to be responsible for what has happen to my car ....... thank you ***** ************

      The recall that was performed on this customers vehicle was just visual.  The recall in question is the "Transmission Accumulator bolts missing" which requires a technician to lift the vehicle up and inspect for missing bolts on or near the transmission. The visual inspection was performed and noted that everything was intact. We did nothing with the vehicles computer system therefore we are confident the light didn't come on because of the visual inspection. We have performed 2 oil changes and 2 recalls in the 3 years the customer has owned the vehicle. We would be more than happy to diagnose the customers vehicle, however there will be a charge for the diagnosis. We expect payment whenever we perform services, as most businesses do.
