************ installed a new heat pump heating and cooling system at our new two story home in *********,** starting in the Winter/Spring of 2021 but still ongoing.Despite the specs for the home calling for a single outside heat pump unit, ************ insisted we needed a second unit. He never connected the system to the second floor, leaving us without heat and air on that floor. We were very patient with ************ during the build and he left us without heat, hot water, cooling for months at a time. He also told me that the pump he installed was "for more temperate climates like **************" and not the one we specifically requested for cold weather. The one he did install was of low quality as well. He had told us he would swap that unit out at cost with the correct version but never kept his promise. The outdoor heat pump was installed at ground level, and ************ also told me that it must be kept free of ice and snow. At not time was our second floor hooked up to the system and the temperature control on the floor was unusable. ************ insisted we needed to buy a second heat pump unit for that floor. We called in another contractor this Fall. Not only did they have to tear out the duct work that was installed, they were able to hook the second floor up with heat and air from the existing heat pump. The duct work was both the wrong size and shape. The electrical work was incorrectly installed. A platform was brought in so that outside heat pump was now a foot off of the ground to keep ice and snow buildup away from it. The bill for the repair to **************** poor workmanship was in excess of $10,000.00. We are looking for ************ to remit that amount to us as well as provide the new cold weather unit at cost as promised.
