I would like to start off by saying that I do not believe this company should even get 1 star! I had Lineman’s appliance repair come to my house to fix my oven. The first day he was here, he changed out a connector on my stove top and adjusted the connections on a different burner. The total cost was 130.00; 95 dollars for the service fee and the difference for parts and labor. Later that afternoon when I tried to cook dinner the burner practically exploded, sparked, and tripped the breaker. I called Lineman’s appliance repair back and he said he would be able to come out the next day. The next day, he did show up as expected, and upon inspection he stated “I did not get the connector back in the track and when you turned on the burner it arced and that is what it to spark and short out.” He replaced the connector again and replaced the connector on the other burner that he had just adjusted the day before. Again, this cost me 130.00 (another 95 dollar service fee and the difference for more parts and labor) despite it being installation error. Later this day when I attempted to cook dinner I ended up with bigger issues: when I turn on the front burner the back burner comes on at the same time, and is on beyond high heat. There is no adjusting the temperature at this point, on either side of my stove top. MAJOR FIRE RISK. Upon contacting him regarding this manner he asked for the model number of the stove, once provided he assumes it is the infinity switch and they have have gone bad. Through multiple texts back and forth trying to understand how these could just break all of a sudden when they had been working fine for the past year of using the stove in this house, his response was “Everything works until it don’t. I couldn’t possibly say for sure. It is super old and electric parts don’t last forever.” Seeing as how my stove top is in worse shape than when I started I feel like I should get my 260.00 dollars back.
