4/29/21 agreed to $72/cut for 26 weeks charging monthly for 6 months. At 8.75% tax, that is $78.30 x 26 = $2,035.80 / 6 = $339.30 I was charged $339.30 correctly for the first 3 months May-July. On August 2nd, I was incorrectly charged $549.30. On August 3, I contacted the the company about the error, and they said they would refund the extra $210. On September 2nd, I was again overcharged $210. I contacted them on September 4th regarding the now $420 refund due and heard back on September 6th the following: “Good morning. We will take care of this tomorrow morning when our bookeeper comes in. The system automatically charged the card. We will text you when it is handled. Thank you. Have a great day.” I never received a text to confirm the refund. On October 2nd, I was once again overcharged $210. In addition, the company did not complete the final grass cut of the season and left our grass well over a foot tall in many areas of our yard. I had to hire another company to complete the final grass cut. On a November 15th phone call, the company said that they completed their contract despite not providing 26 cuts. They also indicated they may not be refunding the money due to me. I threatened to dispute the credit card charges if I did not receive the refund by November 19. On November 19, I received a phone call saying that the $630 refund would be processed that day. It has been over 12 business days, and I still have not received the refund. Today, December 9, I filed disputes with my credit card company for the $630 overcharged and the $78.30 incomplete final cut. In addition, we had problems with both quality and completion of work throughout the contract. Often, there was grass sprayed into our mulch beds instead of away from them. There were also multiple times our grass was over a foot high before it was cut, and other times when weeks were skipped and not made up (once at the crucial time leading into our outdoor July 4th party).
