******* *********************** asked for a deposit to be able to start the job, and I paid him $9k. He convinced me to buy the garage door from him and paid him another $3k. He has been working on my basement for the past two weeks. He keeps on claiming to have a plan but only tells me that they will just show up so please dont lock the doors. I have been texting and calling him to no avail for the past week. I went to the address of his business in **** ******, and found out that it was a PO Box that has been closed for month because of non-payment. Also got a tip that he letters he keeps receiving are from the *** and collection agencies. This guy is a scam and a con artist. I am seeking for a $7k refund on the base job, and a full $3k refund on the garage door. He has left my. ***** T a complete mess and all my stuff are still outside because there isnt a place for them.Customer response

Date of transaction: 16-Feb-2022 Amount paid: $700 What the business committed to provide: A renovation of a bedroom closet for $1,100 ($700 deposit, $400 at conclusion)Nature of the dispute: The contractor and owner of the business, ******* "*****" ******, failed to do the job though he accepted my $700 deposit. He never even started. For nearly 4 months he's provided excuses as to why he cannot come to do the work. I've asked for a refund in April (about 1 month ago), and now for a month he's provided a laundry list of excuses of why he is delaying to return my $700 deposit.Whether he has tried to resolve the problem: No, he has not. Though he's told me several times he would return the deposit, each time I ask him for it, he provides another excuse as to why he needs to delay.Customer response

ON 11/29/2021 SIGNED A CONTRACT AND GAVE A PAYMENT OF $10,020 TO REMODEL KITCHEN. LESS THEN HAVE THE WORK HAS **** DONE AND NO WORK HAS BEEN DONE SINCE 12/21. I HAVE NO KITCHEN, NO SINK NO WATER, NO CABINETS, NOTHING. THE ***** DOES NOT REPLY OR SLOW TO REPLY BACK TO TO WHEN WORK WILL RESUME. SEEEKING REFUND FOR $6,000 TO HIRE ANOTHER CONTRACTER TO FINSIH THE ****
