I had a storage unit with this company for five years while I traveled abroad. Upon cleaning out the shed we encountered a great deal of water damage to our personal property. Upon finding the damage I reported it to the site manager (Teri) who called the owner while I stood in her office. She said she would let me know the course of action that was going to take place. I was asked to provide pictures of the damage, which I did before I left the site. The next day I went back and saw Teri again and said she was still waiting to hear from the owner or her son. I since have tried numerous times to text, email and even sent a certified letter which simply asked for reimbursement for damages, as well as an itemized list of damaged property. I have texts going back and forth with Teri to support allegations. I am assuming she got into trouble when she told the owner in front of me they had a huge problem with my unit and something had to be done. The following two days we were packing our belongings and moving them to Florida and she wanted nothing more to do with me. She gave me the owners sons name (Paul) so I tried his personal email as well. We were only in NY for two weeks so I resulted to texts, emails and letters. It seemed as soon as I found a new email address I would write and the next time I tried to correspond the email was no longer valid. In each attempt I stated I was writing so I had proof of our correspondence and I still have not received any correspondence from anyone at the company. I am at a lose as to what to do next. Please help. This is very difficult we lost family treasures that can never be replaced! I feel they have no inclination to ever do anything about it. While my things were in storage we paid approximately $110 a month. ($6,600) I feel they should take some responsibility for this. My storage unit was located at 889 Troy Schenectady Rd Latham, NY 12110 phone ###-###-#### UNIT *** total damage incurred $2493.35 Thank you.
