Jennings and Hartwell Fuel oil came to deliver home heating oil to my home in September of 2022. At that time the driver had an issue with the hose and spilled between 5 & 10 gallons of fuel oil on my lawn. I contacted the company and spoke to a woman who took the information and would give it to the supervisor *****. After no call for 2 days I called back and spoke to ***** who said he would send his guys to take care of it. After a month an the continued strong smell of fuel oil I called again and was told ***** was not in and she would give him the message. The call and leaving messages went on from September 2022 until July 2023 when I was finally able to speak to *****. He said he didn't have time to deal with this and for me to get a quote from my landscaper which I did and sent to him. He said his guys could do it for half the price and his guys would be there on Saturday to take care of it. They never showed and he never returned my calls. My wife then called him and he made a bunch of excuses that he never said they were coming Saturday. Then after a couple of ********************* had someone come to look at it to give ***** an estimate to fix this. I guess he didn't like his price so he told me to get my landscaper to do it and send him the bill. My landscaper took care of it and sent me the bill to forward to *****. I sent the bill for $870 to ***** to pay the landscaper. My landscaper contacted me to tell me he never got paid. My wife called Jennings and Hartwell and was told a check was mailed. After another week no check. My wife kept calling abd leaving messages and was only able to speak to someone by blocking her number. When she spoke to ***** he said tell the landscaper to come to the office and he would give him cash. The landscaper did and after being cursed at left without payment. My wife hid her number again and when ***** got on the phone he cursed at her and hung up. I spoke to him 8/26 and he said he would come to my house to pay me. He never didInitial Complaint

I'm a senior citizen and on a fixed in**me.l applied for heap using Jennings and Hartwell Fuel Oil **. I was approved $976.00 for oil in December 2022 so l called the ** and asked if they receive the check, the receptionist said no no yet l asked her did they service the boiler with the heap check because the boiler shut off, and she yes and she will tell *****. Well this went back and forth from December until now. I called and called and the receptionist said she told ***** and ***** said to tell me to set the Date and l did, that date came and left no call. Once in January once in February **************************************** but no response. If l missed the calls wouldn't you leave a message being that it is winter and l need the boiler, only twice out of the 5 months. So l got so fed up with the shenanigans l called back and told the receptionist to tell ***** l need the boiler serviced l didnt hear anything from him so when l called back she said ***** said pick a date but it have to be in the mornings of this week and l think l said on a Wednesday morning the first time,of **urse ***** did not show up. I wait the next week and called again and told the receptionist he didn't **me, she said she told him l told her to tell him l don't want to take this further. On 5/22/23 Monday ***** called and to me he **uldn't get in **ntact with me on the number that we were on so l told him he did not call me. We set a 2nd date for 5/27/23 on Friday and he said call me on Thrusday to **nfirm he did not answer the phone, but l left him a message. Friday morning l waited about 11:15 am my phone rang and l saw it was ***** l picked the phone up and he said hello miss so and so l said no ***** this is ****************** lve been waiting on you..he said Oh ****************** I'll call you right back and hurried up and hung up the phone and l haven't heard anything from him. There is 2 checks involve $976.00 + $150.00 and l have no service at all. No hot water since 12/22-6/23 now!Business response

********************************* is a heap customer of mine. Yes, we received guaranteed payment for the heat benefits for ****************** to receive a delivery of home heating oil for the amount of $976.00.(the actual check I never received from city, along with the ****** check she indicated my company received) ****************** is a participant of this program and know in order to have her boiler serviced she must go through the **** part of the program where they will determine if there will be funds provided to the oil company to perform such boiler service. The money that ****************** has is for the purpose to have her boiler filled with oil. AS far as the compliant that she called, and no one returned her calls is not true when we did reach ****************** it was through a new number, she called the company with. If she spoke with a manager at the company, I'm not sure why she's saying we refuse to service her boiler, or the manager is refusing her calls. ****************** could of called the oil company back to resolve the issue, up until this point she has not but made a compliant to the BBB.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolvedI dont want anymore dealing with Jennings and Hartwell ************ My trust is not with this company and l will not allowed them in my home. I just want to be credited, either to me or ****** Services. I'm a senior citizen and on a fix income. Ive been without my boiler service since 12/2022 and now is 7/1/2023 and still. I have no hot water and l think this is a shame that this company would do this after 30yrs l've been dealing with Jennings and Hartwell. They never in all these years ever said l have to go through a process with ****** Services for this..it was just done. Only because I'm reporting this complain hes saying this. I even have a voice message on June 9, 2023 that he left, wanting to resolve it..but there's no trust. I'm scared to let him in my house after this.
