******** *********************************************** installed a pondless waterfall in my backyard in July 2021. The installation took much longer than promised, with several hiccups along the way. In September 2021, just a couple of months post-install, we had issues with the re-fill mechanism, which ended up revealing a separate issue - we were leaking water and quickly. ******** did eventually come back and fix the re-fill mechanism but only after weeks of unanswered phone calls and text messages. The leak was never discovered but ******** felt confident that we should be fine moving forward. My water bills over the next couple of months indicated that the waterfall was still leaking water and that the re-fill mechanism was running far more often than it should be. This spring (2022), we had our sprinklers turned on, and while the waterfall was running, the re-fill mechanism was again not kicking in and again it revealed that we were losing water rapidly. I was finally able to get in touch with ******************* to explain exactly what was happening. He agreed there was probably a leak and told me he would find a day to come back and re-do the work with a new liner for the waterfall. Unfortunately, he told me he was booked several weeks out and did not know exactly when he could return to my home for repair. He was apologetic and acknowledged that we had spent a lot of money for something that didn't work. While I appreciated his call and promise to come back and fix the waterfall, he was unable to give me a definitive ETA for doing so. He asked me (on April 25 - the last time I spoke to ***) to send him some pictures, which I did, and then to follow up with him if I didn't hear back from him by the end of the week. I have since reached out to *** by text, phone, voicemail, and even ******** messenger and all of my attempts to reach him have been ignored. I have informed *** that if I do not hear back from him, I will assume he is not returning and I will have to contact the BBB.Customer response

At this time, I have been contacted directly by ******** Landscape & Design LLC regarding complaint ID ********, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
**************** failed to meet the obligations of our contract within a reasonable amount of time, therefore I was forced to hire another company *********************** to rebuild the waterfall. I will be taking **************** to small claims court to recover my expenses related to the remediation work. He was given every opportunity to deliver a leak-free, fully functioning waterfall, but failed to do so, and his lack of communication with me was both unprofessional and a breach of contract. ********************** when rebuilding the waterfall, found several issues with ******************** work, including leaks, holes in the liner, and even discovered that **************** improperly used multiple liners (shingled over one another). The work **************** performed was clearly well below professional standards.
