A&R is owned by Jason R****. He cannot be trusted. In March I hired him to remove 5 trees on my property. I met with him 3 days before he was to start the job. We reviewed the trees to be taken and he took pictures. He assured me they would remove all of the cut wood from my yard and leave the stumps ready for grinding. I expressed my concerns about damage to the yard/turf from his equipment as it was springtime, and the ground was soft. He assured me they would be careful and leave the yard looking "better than when they arrive." I arrived at the site at 7:30 AM on the day they were to start. I was greeted by a man that said he and his 2 coworkers SUBCONTRACT with Jason. Turns out Jason doesn't do the actual work! The man asked, "Which trees are we taking?" I was shocked! Obviously, Jason had not spoken to them about which trees. The 3 of them then tore through my yard with a tracked skid steer, leaving deep ruts everywhere. Jason didn't show for another 4-5 hours. I had to leave for an appointment. When I returned, they had a rented a woodchipper and were cutting up all 5 trees. Initially Jason thought he would remove the trees in truckloads and take them to a local dump. When he discovered he would be charged a dumping fee by weight, he changed course and created a 50x12 foot pile of wood chips in my yard. Never asked for my input. They also left a 15x5 foot log that they pushed to the back of my property (at least 70 yards) with the skid steer leaving deep ruts the entire way. In addition, they left multiple branches in the yard, many imbedded into the ground with the skid steer. Jason assured me they would be back to clean up the mess, remove the wood chips, smooth out the ruts, spread grass seed, cut the stumps shorter, and remove the large log. I tried repeatedly to call and text Jason. He does not respond. It will cost me thousands of dollars to clean up the mess. Please, do yourself a favor and never hire A&W owned by Jason Reith. He is a liar and a thief.
