I purchased my vehicle from The Auto Store in 2021. It is a 2011 **** ***** ******** I also was sold a almost $3,000 extended to protect the vehicle since it was older. Within the first 30 days the vehicle broke down and I had to have it towed down any my expense. Later to find out it was a recall issue and the part was on back order for 2 weeks. This dealer does not offer rental assistance so I again had to pay for a rental for 2 weeks at my expense for a vehicle I just purchased 30 days prior! Fast forward 2023 the check engine light comes on and I take it to the dealer. The give me the run around basically stating the warranty THAT THEY SOLD ME is a company that’s gives them a hard time and since it’s a bigger job they would need a lot of info. I provide all the information they needed and they STILL haven’t touched the vehicle in 2weeks! Finally they state to me that they want a “safety deposit” of $2000 from me for them to start a claim and they would get around to the vehicle in about 2 months. I since spoke to many other repair shops and the warranty company who stated a claim was never started and that the company is not to request or collect and “safety deposits” on vehicles without diagnostics or approval. This company is selling damaged vehicles and refusing to do repairs through a warranty company that they sell to customers. I have been vehicle less and losing wages and spending money on ***** while this company has not even touched or tried to repair my vehicle but wants $2000 just to look at it because they don’t trust their own warranty company
