I am leasing a vehicle, with the lease ending on September 30th. To prepare, I explored loan options and visited dealerships. On August 26th, I visited a dealership to inquire about buying my leased vehicle. They praised my car's condition and requested my personal information, including my Social Security number, presumably to run a credit check, which I agreed to. However, without my consent, the dealership purchased my leased car from ***** Financial on that same day. The next day, they offered me an 11% interest rate, which I declined, stating I had been pre-approved for a lower rate of 8.4% from ****** ****** *****. They then asked for additional documents like a utility bill and passport, claiming they needed them for "final approval," despite my existing approval. Suspicious, I contacted ****** ****** ***** to buy out the lease directly. They requested a lease buyout contract from *****. When I contacted ***** on September 17th, I learned that the car had already been bought out by the dealership on August 26th, without my authorization or knowledge. A dealership salesperson even stated, "Whatever bank you end up with, you need to do the buyout through us." I believe this was a deceptive practice. The dealership used my information to buy out my vehicle without my consent, coercing me into financing through them under unfavorable terms.

This was brought to our attention when the car showed up on our inventory statement a few weeks ago. The customer came in to purchase her lease and requested financing. She submitted the credit application and wanted to proceed with the process. The vehicle was stocked in and purchased for inventory, as that is the normal process. When we became aware the car was never purchased buy the customer, we contacted ***** for reversal. We contacted the customer and then she confirmed that she wanted to finance it through her own bank. She still intended to purchase, so we did not return the title *****. When management spoke with her they mentioned that "regardless of where she finances, she would need to come back here to facilitate the lease transfer." They also told her that if we hadn't heard from her, we plan to send the title back to ***** to reverse the lease buyout. We sent the title back via fed ex today tracking #************. Once ***** receives the title, her lease will be reinstated.  The General Manager left her a Voicemail today with cell number.

We purchased a New 2017 Honda Accord EXL V6 from West Herr Honda. In October 2021 the vehicle had flashing warning light come on & we took it to the place of purchase. The diagnosis said that the Torque Converter was defective & they offered an estimate to repair. This part appears to be a manufacturer defect as this problem is not a known failure that should truly occur within this time frame and miles on the vehicle. The vehicle is serviced and maintained per the requirements of the Honda specifications. We contacted the Honda Motors of North America as well as the dealership and we have been given the runaround with no true resolution to get the vehicle in working condition. Honda Motors informed us that they are trying to get the dealership to cover the repair while the dealership says we need to take it up with Honda Motors. We have attempted to reach both companies on multiple occasions and each time we speak to an agent, we are told, that it is not their decision to make and would forward the matter to the person responsible and we would receive a follow up call which we are yet to receive.

We have contacted American Honda on the customer's behalf and requested that they reach out directly.  American Honda has offered a 10% discount on the repair, and has attempted to contact the customer.  Messages were left on the phone numbers provided, they have not hear back from the customer as of yet.
