After seeing numerous families posting about their sick kittens in various places, I reached out to ***** to inquire about the health of my boy's parents. Instead of providing me with any pertinent information, she offered for me to return my boy! Why would a breeder offer a refund on a 2 1/2-year-old cat if she were on the up and up?? I simply asked for the parent's health history. My cat is part of my family. Of course, I will not return him! I am going to have him tested next week and periodically thereafter but ************ lack of transparency makes me think he is at risk. As an aside, I had a similar experience to another poster here. When I picked up my boy, it was from the hallway of a house that stunk to high h*** I should have known better but I had just been diagnosed with cancer and was particularly emotionally vulnerable. A fact that ***** was well aware of. Since then, my kitty has provided so much love and emotional support and I have returned the favor by spoiling him rotten. Now, instead of easing my anxiety, I am riddled with anxiety that he will drop over as other of ************ cats have done. I see that she is responding here. I will be happy to remove this review if ***** will reach out with the relevant health information for the parents of my boy. The same information I requested months ago. And, as ***** seems keen to blame the kitty's parents and or sidestep the issues, please note that I have those texts available to post if needed. Hoping this may be a route to finally have some answers. *****, DO YOU TEST THE **** YOU BREED?

I feel your pain and understanding of your health situation.Please stay strong and healthy! hope my cat that you bought 2,5 years ago bring you happiness, warmth and sweetness.All my breeding cats are tested and checked by vet before they are allowed to produce a litter. So to answer your question - Yes , the parents of your cat were tested and are healthy .l am very proud of the health of my kittens! Do not buy from ***** Coonomagic, she is a terrible breeder. From the start she sold me a sick cat 4 years ago and when I called her she stopped taking my calls didn’t even offer to split the cost of the medication for the virus. My boy was what I believed healthy but a month ago he suddenly died from a heart attack at 4 year old. If you are considering buying from her please search ******** for “Buyer Beware Coonomagic Gentle Giants” you will find a story about 2 very sick cats sold by ***** and another situation similar to mine. Save yourself the heartbreak and stay away from this breeder.

We are so sorry for your loss of the beautiful cat. My heart is breaking for him. I understand that when this tragedy happens the first reaction is being in denial, angry and blaming somebody. Coonomagic's rating is very high and we are proud to be one of the best main **** catteries in the country. We are screening our breeding cats for genetic medical issues prior allowing them to have kittens. All our kittens are leaving us being in great health, they are checked by vet and have health certificates. However, even the best doctors cant predict what can happen with kitten in 4 years (4 cat old is like ***** human). It's definitely not genetic because both of his parents are alive and healthy as well as all of his siblings. (our customers are sending hundreds of updates with gratitude about our beautiful babies). Without autopsy its not possible to find a reason of his unfortunate departure, I dont want to speculate, but it could be anything including COVID or any virus or allergies (one of my clients almost lost his fur baby when her husband presented her with lilies- its deadly for cats). You wrote yourself that your vet didnt find anything wrong with him during numerous check out. Once again, we are very sorry for your loss and hope that in time youll realize that breeder can only be responsible for breeding healthy beautiful kittens but cant be responsible for their health and well-being during all his years with his new parents.
