Walked in the Koeppel Subaru on ************* Queens. With the help of a sales person I was able to lease a car. The car price and the lease payments were agreed on the contract for 36 months. The sales person ask me to come back on Wednesday for all the paper work and the contract sign up and I left my contact number, my email and a deposit of $500.I called on Wednesday to confirm if everything was ready, because they didn't send me any follow up information for an agreement or a contract I could study before to sign everything. They confirmed we were good to proceed, and sign the lease. The lease was applied in my wife's name. And I am the co-signer. Due to language differences, I was sitting next to my wife translating for her When I walk back on Wednesday to sign the lease papers, I was directed to the finance manager name "*****".A gadget (a tablet) was placed in front of my wife and the agreement was started scrolling down the lease signed with initials where its needed. A paper copy of the agreement provided at the end. We were done so we came back home along the car. When I checked the agreement at home, when I saw the numbers. The monthly lease, deposit money DMV fees were OK. But the residual Value was much higher than expected. I went back to the finance manager and showed him the numbers.Car sticker price was $31,101,00. Settled lease was $449.97 a month. Deposit + DMV fees $2559.00 with one lease in advanced.I was shocked when I see "residual value of this car was gone up to $22703.73.Manager said It was addressed as it is. Since I had no ample time to study the agreement, neither did they send it to me email I could study it carefully I was confused using the gadget that was placed next to the "Lessee" (my wife) who kept scrolling down for initials and signatures I lease this car for my kids intend to buy at the end, so my kids would have a good car but with this residual value price of this car has gone up to $40,000 which is unfair

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The business said that my son was with me during the contract signing, however, this is incorrect as my son was not with me at the time I signed the contract, he was only with me for the first day and when I came back to dispute the contract. To clarify, when I noticed the incorrect amount for the residual price, the night I came home with the car, my son came with me to help explain the situation due to English not being my first language.

We were also not given ample time to go over the contract and as a result, I was not given the chance to notice that the residual price on this contract was significantly different based off the total amount of the 36 month lease which amounted to $16,164 and the sticker price offer was about $31,000.

      Best Regards,
      ****** ***

November 2021 i called koeppel subaru to cancel and extended warranty. I spoke to a man named ******************* who is in charge of financing. in order for me to cancel the warranty I had to send him a picture of mileage at the time and a picture of my warranty receipt. I did what was asked. he then responded back to me in email about the amount ill be getting back. its 8 months later and nothing has been done. I then spoke to a man named *************************** who is the general sales manger there. I spoke to him and he is telling me a different story how my cancellation had been processed and finished and that my refund amount is not what was originally stated. its been three weeks since I last spoke to him. I called him back numerous times only to be told he is on vacation. he is busy. he is at a meeting at a different location. I have email threads from both of them all with the pictures of the refund I was originally getting. I dont know why this is taking this long to do. please help me.
