KPM was called to remove the soot on my wall and did not remove any of the soot whatsoever. They spent at least three days there and the walls look exactly as before they arrived. I was not at the property at the time which they attempted to take advantage. Cleaning people at the home said they were standing around doing nothing and other contractors at the home said their guys were hanging out at the diner most of the day. Luckily, I did not sign the authorization they sent which required the insurance company to pay them directly. They came back onsite and I demonstrated how easily the soot can be removed with over the counter chemicals and normal rubbing pressure and their excuse was the insurance company does not allow back and forth scrubbing motion. I consulted the insurance company on the excuse and they said that is B.S and is like telling a chef how to cook. They filed a mechanic's lien on the home based on an invoice that states "soot removed" and refuse to come back to complete the work or some other amicable resolution. Based on my experience, I would not use this company. Even after they got caught trying to do some sort of scam, they refused to make the situation right and instead hire lawyers to enforce the bogus lien.
