I was having problems with my 2011 ******** **** ml350 and I called ******** from Orange County NY Mobile Mechanics to come out to check why my check engine light was on. ******** first of all was late in coming out to inspect my car. ******** didnt have the proper equipment to really know if it was my engine and was second guessing himself. So he ask my boyfriend and I to bring the car to the shop for further diagnostic on the check engine light. We took the car the next day he checked with the diagnostic computer and stated there was a miss fire in the engine and the timing chain so we would need a whole new engine. I then proceed with my warranty on my vehicle so we can get the approval for the job to get done. While in the process of the approval of course it took 3 weeks for it to be approved. The warranty approved on May 16th me for $3,150 the value of the vehicle with the mileage of 165xxxx. ******** stated that I would need to sign a receipt for them to approve the money. So not thinking of it I did sign and once signed ******** stated that he would order the engine. I trusted his words and weeks went by and I texted, called, sent emails and no answer. I started to get a little concerned in why ******** wasnt answering me. He then went on a rampage talking to start the job I owed him if paying cash $2,920 or if I financed I owed him $3,413.27. I was a little confused because I explained to him that wasnt in my budget and why am I being charge an extra fee when the approval that I signed was the receipt stating the motor 61K miles for $1,271 and labor and parts $1,879. Meanwhile Im renting vehicles weekly until the work was done. ******** never answered me or called me in regards to my car. I went to the ************** they told me I needed to file a small claims to get my money back. I had to have a tow guy pick up my car my engine was taken apart. I called my warranty come to find out he spent the money, no engine, and no car!!
