$4500 pd 11/10/23 to ***** ********************** Paving. Estimate dated 9/29/23 said; (1)exposed edges to be hand tamped on a 45* angle for strength." Lower edge was not tamped . (2)"each phase is to be rolled with up to a 15 ton double drum vibratory roller for a #*** tight compaction.** #The finish is not tightly compacted. Not vibratory rolled. The temp. was in the high 40s with light wind. ***** **********************s ad says " pride and dedication we take in our approach to our work, and for the fine workmanship we provide." and "With our attention to detail and dedication to delivering the highest quality work possible". I understand nothing is perfect but I want what they promised. A well compacted surface that is not porous and hollow. The seam is light and i expect it to lose stone and create a trough after a hot summer. The area paved is for parking. The top coat laid 14:31. They rolled with small roller only, cross rolled 14:40. I realized they were putting the un-used larger vibratory roller on the trailer when i pointed out the ESTIMATE signed by *** ********************** says "To be rolled with up to a 15 ton -> vibratory roller." THEY DID NOT. Temp. was in the high 40s and the ******* yelled at worker to return with machine. Only then at 15:22 did it get vibratory rolled, but it was too late and only made the exposed surface stone turn white as the vibration did nothing else. The asphalt already cooled. It had been down almost an hour. I paid in good faith. I expect a good job you are proud of. I want it to last. Multiple web sites say poorly compressed asphalt can shorten the life of it. . This work is not to be proud of. Do what you said, be who your ads say. Sent e-mail to them. No reply. called them 11/14/23 no reply.. called them again 11/17/23 spoke to *****. Said he would "look at it." 12/28/23 heard nothing. The new surface will not last. It is not tightly compacted! The agreement says,"to be rolled with up to 15 ton double drum vibratory roller for a TIGHT COMPACTION."Business response
