I am requesting a partilal refund for services NOT provided for my litigation as promised. I always paid my fees. If I had an issue with a charge or service, I would discuss it with the law firm. We had a respectable, working relationship. They once removed some fees after I discussed it with them. Then things took a turn when attorney *************************** abandoned my litigation case where he was technically still my lawyer and did not inform me that the plaintiff filed a supplemental summons after he talked me into taking a stipulation so the plaintiff could remove parts of her false accusations. He told me that he would find it hard for the plaintiff to do a supplemental summons since they had no proof of anything they were trying to gain which was the money from a joint account that was closed by a relative and that they put no money into the account. Yet plaintiff create a lawsuit after my relative passed away with false claims of money that was owed to her. I learned after the fact that any lawyer assigned to a litigation case is still your lawyer unless he submits a reason to the judge and the judge grants it. So for three months, *************************** was legally and technically my lawyer who not only withheld information but caused my case to miss critical deadlines in my defense. When I was served with a 2nd summons for the same case, he told me he was busy working on a trial and I should find a new lawyer. I did not know that he was not supposed to desert my case. We had no issues with working together or fees for services. I trusted ******* and Levitt LLP and was in disbelief that I was left with the same case open. ******* told me that he was NOT able to do anything for me with the other issues ***** LPP interviewed my mother and me when collecting the retainers fee telling me they could handle the whole case, never parts of it. I am now left with a mess because of missed deadlines early on. I deserve to get back 50% of my money which is $3670. Thank you.Customer response
