All within the month of Feb 2023 I have taken my **** to be fixed twice and was lied to about the issues with the car. I paid and drove off to have my car break down that same day. I had to beg for the company to help me tow the car. The mechanic blamed me for the car not running. The **** went back in and I was told that the **** needed more parts. After being told by the tow company what they were told was wrong with the vehicle I now know that my motor is bad and I was lied to. My car was fixed up enough to be driven in town, My other mechanic told me the damage could be permanent and cost thousands. I need help advocating.

I received a call from ******** about a cooling system problem she was having, on the day of her appointment she called me and said that she was not able to drive the car down because the belt had came off. She had the car towed down, we found that the upper radiator hose was completely broken and someone attempted to repair with some sort of epoxy. We also noticed that there was a large amount of shiny flakes in the cooling system which indicated that someone had installed coolant "stop leak" to the system, she admitted to me in the first call she had put this in the system then later changed her story and said she did not know how it got in there. We fixed the hose and assumed with the large amount of coolant being sprayed from the radiator hose that this was the cause of the belt coming off. We were not able to test drive vehicle due to a very bad misfire and the car running very poorly. When this was mentioned to her she advised us she did not was any diagnosis or repairs to that due to lack of funds and she would fix that herself. I advised her that she should not drive the car anymore then she had to in order to avoid any further damage until the issues were taken care of. The next day or so I received a message about the belt being off again. After her being semi nasty to me via the messages I decided to dispatch a tow truck to help her get home and see what was wrong with the car for her. It was determined that the belt tensioner was the cause for the belt coming off and a new one was installed upon her approval at a discounted rate to help her out. She also asked for me to see why it was misfiring, it was determined that there was a bad coil. A new coil was installed and the car seemed to be operating correctly at the time. As can be seen on both of the attached bill I told her and wrote on the bills that with all the stop leak in the cooling system that she should stay close to home and see how the vehicle acts because stop leak is very bad for a motor and in our conversations I explained that there could be further issues such as a head gasket problem and so on. I feel I did everything I could to help her with in her financial means and would have helped her further if she brought the car back. However, I did not charge her for anything that was not done and did not do anything that wasn't approved by her ahead of time. I also do not see how she was ever lied to, I was very up front with everything that was happening at the time. If you have any further question please feel free to reach out. Thank you.
