Leased a car back in December from DARCARS and returned my ***** and *** was to pay off the lease. February i received a call from ***** saying my lease payment was overdue. *** was supposed to have paid it off. I contacted *** and spoke to ****** who informed me that it was taken care of. April 2025 received a call from ***** indicating they had not received payment from *** for the ***** as of yet. Contacted DARCARS and spoke to ****** who told me he would handle it. That was on April 3rd. We exchanged emails and in an email from ****** he informed me that (via emai) that it was sent to coporate and it would take a few days to be completed. That was early April. Now it is late May and my credit has been ruined because of this and nobody from the dealership will return my emails or calls. I contacted *** HEADQUARTERS. ******* ******** contacted me and told me to give him 3-5 business days. Today is the 5th business day and I received an email from ******* telling me he didn't have any updates. I would like this payment made to ********** in the amount of ******. And would also like reimbursement for my credit being ruined.Business Response

I purchased an extended warranty for ***** and was told it covered *************** and whatever was under the hood. I asked for a hard copy detailing what was covered and never received it. I was sent a face sheet. The business is known as AutoNation in Mt Kisco a certified *** dealership. I filed 2 claims and neither claim was covered . The most recent claim, I took my car to a different *** dealership in *******, ** and I was told they could not find any such warranty in the system after I was told it would be accessible through any *** dealership. I contacted AutoNation with no resolve to my problem.Business Response

I purchased a *** X5 from *** of Mt Kisco Dealership on 6/8/22. Although I purchased this care in ********, the Dealership confirmed that they would complete the *********** registration for me, which was clearly outlined with all the right documentation. I was charged $700 on 6/8/22 to cover the registration. The contract clear states that this $700 fee is an estimate and in come cases it may exceed the actual fees due to the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles. The contract also says that the Dealership will automatically refund any amount I overpaid, within 60 days of securing the registration. According to my *********** registration receipt, the actual total cost was was $205.66, resulting in a refund of $494.34 due to me. I have not received this refund and the Dealership will not respond to email communication nor voice messages, despite numerous attempts from 9/2/22 through 11/11/22. I have repeated contacted the *********** Associate, Sales Associate, and the General Manager and have been unable to get a response.Business Response

$332.50 was sent to *** financial on August 26th. The reason it was sent to *** is because you have a lien on the vehicle. Difference in reimbursement amount and what you calculated is a $125 service fee charged by DMV. Also $10.78 fee charged by DMV. All money that is due to customer has been sent. ThanksCustomer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved. This is the first I've been made aware of the payment from the dealership directly to *** Finance. I was never informed of this. My BBB complaint could have been avoided, had the dealership simply responded to my numerous emails and phones calls over a ~2 month period of time. In any case, thank you for your service, as it's apparently the only way to get this dealership to respond.
Sincerely,

On 4/18/2022 I purchased a new vehicle from BMW of Mt. Kisco (********). As recommended by the dealership at the time of purchase, I also bought a ************ Protection Coverage (60 months) for $3,499.00. The cost was added to the financing (third party lender - TRUIST).A few weeks later I decided to cancel the Coverage. On 5/24/2022 I submitted a Cancellation Request to the Program Administrator. On 5/26/2022 I received confirmation from the Administrator that my cancellation request has been completed and to allow approx. 3-4 weeks for the selling dealership to issue a refund (as the vehicle is financed, I was told that refund would be sent directly to the lender to apply to the outstanding loan). According to the Coverage Agreement State Specific (**************) Terms and Conditions, a 10% penalty per month will be added to any refund that is not paid or credited within 30 days of the cancelation request.Since then, I have tried to contact BMW of Mt. Kisco multiple times to inquire about the status of the refund and try to expedite it as I continue paying interest on the cost of the coverage (as it is part of the financing). The usual response from the dealership was always that they were looking into it and would contact me, which never happened. About 10 days ago I was able to connect directly to the Finance Manager of BMW of Mt. Kisco. He stated that the dealership is not part of AutoNation anymore (they were at the time when I purchased the vehicle and Coverage) and as such, BMW of Mt. Kisco cannot issue a refund. Instead, I was advised to contact AutoNation.Business Response

Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention.
According to our records, it shows the Tire and Wheel refund was issued to TRUIST on August 23, 2022. (please see attached )
It typically takes approximately 10 business days for the lienholder to receive the refunds, however they use a lockbox which might cause a delay in processing times.
We will submit a request to verify the status of the check (whether it was cashed or not). We also recommend the customer to call TRUIST to verify if they have received the check and use the check number in the attached picture as reference.
Please allow up to 48 business hours to receive an update.
Thank you

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:I connected with TRUIST and after some inquires on their end they confirmed that check was not received.
They stated that Lockbox # ****** is incorrect and Lockbox #****** should have been used.
How can we expedite the whole process so that refund is provided as soon as possible? In the meantime TRUIST continue accruing interest on the $3,378 as part of the loan, even though the coverage has been cancelled for almost 4 months!
In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,
