I leased a Toyota Rav 4 prime from this dealership in September 2021, I moved to ************ last year and need to register the car and I havent been able because I need the title and when I called the lien holder (Toyota Financial) to get a copy of the title they explained me that they have never received the title I tried to get a copy from the *** and it showed that the lien is register to : ****** ******************* which I dont have any relationship with since all the financing was done trough Toyota *************** I called the dealership and they promise to take care of it but checking with the *** it show that new title was issue on 12/28/2022 and still showing the lien is register to : ****** *******************. My car inspection is due and I dont want to travel 2:30 hours to ** just for that plus my driver ***** has been transferred to ** I need the car to be register where I live.Business response

Good Morning,
When the client picked up her new car in 2021, she leased it through Toyota ********* Services. The motor vehicle application for title was incorrectly completed by assigning ****** ******************* as the title holder. This was a clerical error. To correct this situation we have obtained the title, lien release letter from ****** *******************, and submitted all necessary paperwork to *** Department of Motor Vehicle to have the lien holder corrected. The paperwork was submitted via ***** on 1/3/2023. It will take a couple weeks to have the change processed. I updated the client this morning and she is aware of the status of paperwork corrections.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this response is satisfactory to me for now I will wait a couple of weeks for tho matter to be resolved.

On August 17, 2021 I purchased a certified preowned 2018 ************ from Rivera Toyota. The car was picked up the next day after the paperwork was complete. I was issued new plates from the dealership ** ******* as the plates from my last car were destroyed in a fire. I was given a temporary registration and instructed my permanent registration would be mailed from the *** within a few days. A few weeks later my registration still had not arrived. I called the dealership at the end of/mid September and they said that the paperwork could still be in process, that they had until the temporary registration expired, and not to worry as it should be coming. They said to call if it did not come. By the time my temporary registration expired I still had not received my permanent one. I reached out to the dealership and they were unsure of what went wrong and said they would resubmit the paperwork. Meanwhile I was driving with an expired registration. Another week had passed and I still had no news. I reached back out to the dealership and they were able to issue me another temporary registration. More than three months have passed and I still do not have a permanent registration and have not been able to get a straight answer from Rivera about why I do not have my registration. I have also tried going through the *** myself but have been told I need to go through the dealership. I have been calling the dealership on a nearly weekly basis and still have no update. Each time I have had to call them and no one has reached out to. I would like some answers.Business response

I apologize for any stress and aggravation that this situation has caused you. The reason for the delay in receiving the registration was due to a package that went missing in route to DMV. This caused the temporary registration to expire. I have been informed that the paperwork has now been processed and we should receive a registration any day.
