Same as many complaints before cards issued for rebates have expired with a very short expiration date these rebates were fully a decision making factor in the appliances we ordered and such a disappointment that so many have had the same issue with cards expiring before they get a chance to use. Expiration date needs to be extended as many consumers have no access to the funds. In my case - $400 worth of money that was issued to me because of the HUGE amount of money I spent on the appliances. I have no access to these funds and its feeling like they are dangling a carrot in front and then yanking it away. We have been eyeballs deep in the construction process and are just now having the opportunity to shop for our new home using these cards and its 30 days expired. Absolutely ridiculous that they claim a new card cant be issued. Im sorry for everyone who is experiencing the same disappointment.Customer Answer

I purchased a washer and dryer from a local appliance store, both of which were installed in February 2024. The local appliance store offered a $300 rebate through this NECO Alliance company for this purchase (the rebate being available upon the installation of the appliances), without which I would not have made the purchase. I applied for the rebate prior to the 3/5/24 deadline properly, as instructed, and received an email on 2/5/24 with subject "Redeem and use your Neco Alliance Rebates Prepaid Card today!" Right under the "You've Received a Virtual Prepaid Card $200.00"(was supposed to be $300, but will let that go) was a picture of a card that is shown to expire 12/26. I has assumed it was safe to assume this card right in this email was the real card; however, it was a fake "sample" card (with no such "sample" designation and in my view extremely misleading at best), with the real card requiring digging into their site and expiring within 6 months of receipt. By the time I wanted to use the reward (about 7 months after receipt) the card was expired and worthless. Image is attached - in my view this email with what I now understand is a "sample" card (with no markings designating it as such) is downright deceptive at best and potentially intentionally misleading. I request this card to be re-issued given this extremely deceptive messaging.Customer Answer

Applied for a $500 rebate. Took 14 weeks to arrive. Went to use the card and it was expired. Card basically had 4 months left to use it. I assumed they would give you at least a year, my fault. I called to get a new card issued and they explained that nothing they can do? Lady on the phone said she could not help me in any way. I thought laws protected gift/debit/rebate cards from expiring. Who issues a rebate credit with 3 months to use it? Very unhappy with them. They took forever to send it to me and now this.Business Response

As these cards are not gift cards, but rather prepaid Mastercards, and as such are subject to the Terms and Conditions of the card, they do in fact have expiry dates. The expiry date is always called out a few times during submission, including in the Terms and Conditions which must be agreed to in order to proceed and complete an online claim submission, as well as on the front of the card, and is once again explained in the cardholder agreement that accompanies the card. That said, we have in good faith had a card reissued to the customer with a new expiry, however, confirmation of receipt of the card is unknown as our numerous attempts to contact the customer have gone unanswered. We are unable to confirm that the card has been received, however, can confirm that it was reissued and shipped out to the address on file, and our last message has advised the customer to contact us if for any reason it has not been received by now. Thank you.Initial Complaint

I bought 4 GE appliances for my kitchen at Sterling appliance. They gave me the form to fill out online to get a $400 rebate from ****. I've tried several times filling out the form and get an error message saying they aren't covered with no explanation. It is impossible to get someone from customer service to speak to you. You're put on hold forever, an easy form to fill out becomes difficult to submit as it doesn't explain mistakes made while filling out the online form to get the rebate. My due date to submit a claim is 10/10/24 and I cannot get any help from this company. It sounds like they are a fraud. Their website is bare bones and doesn't have anything helpful information listed.Business Response

We contacted the customer to discuss the difficulties she was having when attempting to submit online, and confirmed that she was able to successfully submit claim #**********. We were also able to advise her that the claim was processed and her rebate shipped to the address on file. We have not been able to confirm receipt of the card however, as subsequent attempts to reach the customer to confirm receipt have gone unanswered. Thank you.Initial Complaint

I filed a rebate over 18 weeks ago with all supporting information needed. I have called several times asking for updated timelines, which they keep stating it can take up to 16 weeks to process payments. Again, its been 18 weeks. Each time I call, they can not tell me an updated timeline and do not know when payment will be processed, they just tell me to keep calling back and wasting my time. This is an absolute scam and no one should expect to get a rebate back from this company.Business Response
