There is a recall in my sleep apnea machine and I'm trying to get my money back because I used the machine for only a short time then was told I couldn't use it due to a recall which can cause cancer. I also got an upper respitory infection from using the machine and they continued to take payments on a machine I can't use.Initial Complaint

Mother *** (Patient ID *******) became ill and now resides with daughter, *********. Client was said to have aspirated while in assisted living and it was suggested and prescribed a hospital bed for home use. Monthly payments payable to Mid-Atlantic MD starting in June 2020 for bed were made to *********’s credit card, while the insurance company Cigna Medicare to pay the rest; after one year of payments bed was to be clients. In February/March 2021, Mid-Atlantic MD became AdaptHealth. AdaptHealth states no monies have been paid for bed from ********* and requested bed or almost $1600. Medicare called and stated they have no reference to bed in their system. Since Spring 2021, I have called company to rectify this situation. They requested Physician notes and Letter of Necessity which was sent. My mother also received physical therapy for one month from this situation; she has Parkinson’s with dementia and her condition is deteriorating. Told to keep bed and ignore payment letters.
