Upon entering Mother Goose Medical Supply, I spoke with the store owner and she said she had heard all about me because my chair requirements were sent ahead of time. She showed me a new chair and asked what color I wanted and wrote everything down. She also mentioned to me that since this chair had to be custom built, it would take approximately 4 months to make. In early April 2022 she contacted me to say the chair was there and asked when I wanted delivery. I told her I preferred the next day because my aid would be at my house. She didn’t wait for my aid and delivered it the day she called me. When the delivery men came, I saw part of the chair and realized it was not the same chair I ordered. I asked them to take it back and I would not sign paperwork for it because it is not what I ordered. The delivery men said they can't do anything until they hear from the store owner. She then told them to put the chair together and leave.The next day my aid arrived at my house and saw the new chair. He agreed it was not the chair I ordered. I called the owner asking when they would be taking the new chair that I could not use and was taking up space. I explained that not only was it not the correct color, but it didn’t have the buttons I needed. My daughter then tried to advocate for me. The owner of the store became very accusatory and demeaning. The store owner told my daughter to take her medication and told us that we all were liars. It became very hostile. Her actions were appalling and demoralizing. Then the store owner told my daughter that if anything happens to the store’s chair, we would be liable. I am not sure what transpired between my choice of chair, the one she ordered, and the one she sent because she never gave me a copy of the invoice. I felt so depressed, emotionally drained, and belittled from this incident.
