They fixed my 2000 ****** **'s manual transmission and clutch, allowing me to keep my vintage ****** instead of sending it to the scrap pile. The car now shifts like it is brand new. This father and son duo know their stuff and get the work done right in a relatively short amount of time. Definitely recommended. Update: 3/28/2023 This shop came through for me again, diagnosing and fixing a problem that was causing sensors in the ECU not to even become available, which prevented three other shops from even thinking about what the cause of the issue was, so they just sent me on my way with a failed NYS inspection. After finding a rare part that was needed, Tim was able to fix the car, saving it from the scrap pile once again. I don't know of any other mechanic who could have solved this puzzle. The most interesting aspect of the process was the fact that Tim authenically seemed to care about getting the ****** back on the road, keeping me appraised of the progress, and then even personally calling me back to make sure the ****** was able to legally pass a NYS inspection. Tim may initially sound gruff, possibly from years of dealing with the general public whose cars need transmission work, but I believe he actually takes pride in his work and possesses what I would call integrity. I have not yet found another mechanic in Syracuse with his experience, problem-solving ability, and honesty. If your vehicle has a transmission-related problem and you want it to actually be fixed, this is the shop you should take it to. Even if other mechanics cannot diagnose or perform a certain repair, take it to Tim. Time is definitely money for him, so leave any frustration-related attitude you may feel about the automotive issue outside, be concise, respectfully listen to what he says, and you will likely have your vehicle back on the road surprisingly quickly. Again, highly recommended.
