I went to the ship to get a 700 ** transmission rebuild and upgrade. He said it would be 1,188.00. He lie, it was $1,288.00. He put used parts in it. He want cash money, no paperwork. I ask the son for it his father said no. He said he know me for 30 years just come back if I had a problem. I took it there on March 31 was to get on April 1. I got it a 5:00 that day. I was there for 3 hours, I saw the son give receipt to two customer, one for $680.00 that was my receipt. I took the transmission to ********** Transmission rebuild again. BBB spoke to Tim at business and the following was relayed: We rebuilt the used transmission, he brought it somewhere else and had the transmission tore down. The vehicle was never in our shop and the customer never had the transmission installed. If he had put the transmission in and it didn't work, then we would have been warrantied. When he was in the store we tried to get him a copy of the receipt but he walked out. We texted him a copy to make sure he got it.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. BBB spoke to customer and the following was relayed: I have included pictures of the issues caused by the business. I am willing to resolve if the business refunds $500 toward the repair that needs to be done. If the business is not willing to resolve at this time, I will file in small claims court for the full amount. Regards, ******* *****Business response

BBB spoke to Tim at the business and the following was relayed: We rebuilt the transmission as agreed. The customer brought it somewhere else where they stated they would have done it differently and voided the warranty in having it broke down by another shop. We are not going to refund the customer.
