      A Best replaced the front porch on my home in July 2020. On January 5, 2021 melting snow on the porch was causing water to leak into the basement. I called A Best about this and a piece of siding that had fallen off, likely in a November 2020 wind storm. They sent someone over a couple days later. The gentleman looked at the exterior where the siding fell off and in the basement where the leak was occurring. He stuck his hand up on the basement ceiling and could feel cold air blowing in the location where the leak was happening. He asked what the porch installer looked like and said the leak could not be fixed until spring. I never heard back after that. November 5, 2021 - Called office asking for update. Woman on phone apologized this was not followed up on and said she was making a note for Philip and Tommy to bring it to their attention. I never heard back after that. December 2022 - Called office to report that melting snow on the porch is again causing water to leak into the basement. Someone was sent to the house that day. That gentleman stated that he is a roof guy not a porch guy and will have the office call us. I never heard back after that. August 8, 2023 - Called office for update. Woman on phone says she has notes from previous calls and will bring this to the attention of Andre and Phillip now and with the owner when he returns from vacation. I never heard back after that. August 16, 2023 - Called office for update. Woman on phone says she has this on her stack and that she has addressed this with the people who came out. She says they know who did the work and they are discussing internally whose responsibility it is to come out and fix it. I never heard back after that. August 18, 2023 - Called office for an update. Woman on phone says she will bring it to their attention on Monday. I asked for phone number so I can talk to these people directly and she declined. I am now reaching out to BBB for help resolving porch and siding

      "A" Best replaced my roof April 20 2021. They tore off 3 layers of roof deck. They also put flashing around the chimney. The roof around the chimney and flashing started leaking the first week of March, 2022. I have been calling the subcontractor since the first week of March, 2022. His phone number is ************. I have been calling "A" Best since the beginning of April, 2022. Their phone number is ************. I spoke to the subcontractor once in June or July. He said someone would stop by to check on the leak the following Monday morning, but no one showed up. I have left messages, and spoken to a lady at "A" Best several times, but my complaint never went farther than that. No one has made any attempt to contact me or fix my leak. My husband and I paid 11,542 to replace our roof. There is a life time warranty on our roof.

      As per *** ***** - This is a leak not due to the roof insulation, on November 1st, 2022. *** ***** went over to *** ***** ***. and showed the homeowner that the roof was not leaking.  He showed the homeowner that the Top Cap of the gray Cinder Block chimney is cracked (needs to be replaced/recapped) and the Cinder Blocks are deteriorating/corroding which is causing the leak... not the roof.   The Flashing was installed correctly, the homeowner used some kind of Mastic Spray all over the flashing and the shingles surrounding the area and the flashing was/is not the cause of the leak. It is recommended that the chimney be rebilled (2X65Ft), with 2 new flues and a Top Cap.  A Best Inc. does not do chimney work. As for their calls, when our foreman made several attempts to address the concern, he was not permitted to enter the dwelling to address where the issue may lay.   We are asking that this complaint be removed from the BBB record due to the leak is not contributed to the roof we installed.

      In December of 2019 I hired Louis S******* who was a foreman at A Best to repair a leaking chimney. He said he could do this at a great cost of $550. Right after he did the repairs in December the leaking continued. He checked it a couple times and then pretty much went missing. I could not get a hold of him or his son who worked with him on the job. After he stole my money and left my chimney in worse condition I contacted the owner of A Best. Tom Arida personally came to my home and was irate about what Mr. S******* did. He said the flashing is not right, the cap is not right. It needs to be parched and acid etched and he should never have done it in December when it was that cold. He said it was a mess! The cap was totally cracking also. He said he would personally send one of his guys over to take care of it and charge Mr. S******* for the work. On September 16, 2020 Mr. Arida sent his worker Andre to fix everything. He removed the counter flashing around the chimney, removed the shingles, installed new step flashing along the chimney and put new counter flashing down in the proper manner and sealed the counter flashing. The company then charged me 650 because it was extra work that had not been done. I was not happy about it but I needed the damage to stop as water was coming through the ceiling. Shortly after it was leaking again. I contacted Mr. Arida and he said I can’t help what Lou did and Andre doesn’t work for me. He’s a private contractor (which he called him his employee previously). He said, “ I did this work on my own with my own money.” I said, “Excuse me? I paid another $650 to your company which came to a total of $1200 to your company for work that caused a bigger issue in the end!!” He then hung up on me. I messaged and called and he would not get back to me. I finally hired *********** to do the work and they were disgusted at the job that had been done up there and they did a beautiful job fixing it. I asked to be reimbursed but nothing

      In December of 2019 Ms. ***** called Thomas Arida to look at a roof that Lou S****** and employee of A Best she hired had repaired. After inspecting the job it was concluded that the flashing and cap around the chimney were leaking and would need to be repaired or replaced. Mr. Arida was asked if he knew of anyone that could fix the problem and as a favor gave Ms. ***** a number of a sub-contractor to consult with. Mrs. ***** then hired Andrey who intern did the repair and charged her a fee for the work. A Best never did any of the work or received any compensation for the work that was performed so there is no reason to issue a refund for work that was not performed by A Best.       Date of new roof/complete tear off 9/2018. Paid total off 6005.00. ABest was committed to provide a new roof/no leaks. Disputing my roof started leaking since 10/2018 and has every year since they completed there work. They have been here every year in the winter - a couple times sealing pipes on the roof, then using calk, a couple of guys came to the house to remove snow from the roof, I am not really sure what else. I am very disappointed. My roof did not leak prior to them installing a new roof. The water has damaged my kitchen ceiling I don't know what other damages (can't see) everything in the attic / behind walls/ insulation. I have records of calls made and pictures of inside when my roof leaked and I called ABest. They are not timely at all for calling back and they have not solved the issue of the roof leaking since the start, a month after I purchased the roof. My last calls to ABest were 2/10/22 and 2/14/2022 still no call back and roof still leaks. They don't have an account number or tracking number - it appears they go by personal information.

      On further inspection of the roof there is a section that has been compromised. After the weather breaks A Best will be out to strip off that section and replace it. ***** ****** has been informed and we will contact her prior to the starting date.
