I called HY's, Marc Galperin to get a Friedric AC replacement for my old window , Friedric AC, SL36L30A-C, 36,btu. He told me they were not shipping new models until next Spring .He said he had a new Friedric 28,btu in stock which would work. He asked for my credit card number and charged $2,546.81 that day 9/03/2021 I had not authorized the charge thinking that it would be charged on delivery. He said to give $150.00 cash to the men who delivered the unit and installed it. They were to take away the old unit. On 9/09/2021 The delivery men arrived in the driveway and came upstairs to look at the old unit. They surmised that the new 28,btu unit's plug would not fit into the existing 36,btu socket and they said they could not rewire a new socket in such an old bldg. They never unloaded or opened the new unit which was still on the truck. I gave them $30.00 cash for being so honest. They returned the unit to Marc who now refuses refund my total payment. Wants a restocking fee.Customer response
