I hired a Contractor on September of 2021 to replace my existing 10x10 deck for a new 18x12 composite deck with black aluminum railings. The total cost of the project was $12,627. A payment of $6,300 was issued to contractor ********************* from Exterior Productions. From the start when hired I addressed to ************* that I needed the project to be done (ASAP), if he has any projects ahead of me and if he has a crew to work with? He responded yes I have a crew but this job all you need is two person, and by the end of October of 2021 the deck will be done. On November of 2021, ***** started without measuring digging a whole on ground leaving project on stand still. The following year. I then contacted ***** to inform him on the status of the deck. March 18, 22 he reached out to schedule to get the deck completed. April 1, 4, I text ***** that Ive been waiting patiently on his response back and would appreciate a call back. April 4, I received a text from ***** that a balance was due from the fall and to be made for 4/5/22. I responded that I have given him $7,500 already and nothing except a hole on the ground has been done. ***** charged me $3,800 for such hole without my consent aside from contract. After handing ***** $3,800 (check). My spouse immediately said to freeze the check! Because he is scamming! Something isnt right. Out of the $3,800 a $1,500 was handed to ***** for the hole that he wrongly created due to his wrong doing in measuring. When brought to his attention? He was full of excuses, unprofessional, rude. The aluminum railings I ordered from start when hired I specified that I want to see them in person. ***** assured me that he has them on site and not a problem. Now I have an unfinished deck and no railings! He has left the project and scammed me! I have text, ring, and video. ***** been harassing me for more money. Please help! as I believe there are other victims of his scamming! A police report has been reported on *****
