      We booked a stay at this motel. Prior to booking, we made it clear we didn't want to hear noise from other guests. We were told noise isn't typically an issue but we should book a very expensive cabin to make sure our visit is quiet and peaceful. We have proof. During our stay, the owner of the property threw a loud party. He set up speakers and a dance floor less than 30 ft from our cabin. We were the only guests at the motel that night. The party ruined our stay. When we complained about the noise and inquired about being put in another cabin or the guest house we were treated very rudely and told once again, the owner is throwing a party and there was nothing that could be done to make us comfortable. The party was so loud our cabin walls were shaking. The next day the property was littered with booze bottles and cig butts. The pool area was unusable. When we went to the office to complain -- we discovered the motel was closed. We were left alone on the property. We have video too.

      We dispute many of the facts that this customer has included in their complaint. There was a private birthday party thrown at the pool, a public space on the motel property, for another client. It took place from 4pm to 10pm, reasonable hours for events on any property. The customers that complained were extremely rude and aggressive to the staff. It was not possible to change their rooms because neither the house that they are referring to nor the other cabins were available. These complaining guests were refunded the night stay that the event took place the following day on August 16th and received confirmation of this refund. The complaining guests were not alone on the property. There were several other guests staying at the motel the night of the event. Their cars were located in the other parking lot. There was staff in the motel office starting at 10am on the morning after the event so I'm not sure why these complaining guests think the business was closed. These complaining guests chose to spend many hours making false claims and trying to hurt our reputation on social media and to the better business bureau. These people are no longer welcome on our property and I hope other businesses are careful about accepting business from them. They are terrible customers.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

      While we did get a refund, the business is not being honest. No one else was on the property that night and the party was for the owner's birthday according to the staff. We were told repeatedly that nothing could be done about the ************* because it was the owner creating it.  It makes us very sad to see how awful these people are. They are liars. We want it on the public record
