Date 6/18/24 Scheduled and confirmed a service call for 8am-12pm. Received text confirmation the night prior of the timeframe. NO CALL NO SHOW. Called at 1201pm for info was told schedule issue. The tech was fully aware that he will not make timeframe but did not bother calling or notifying me. Lost income from the 4 hours waiting in the morning. Was told tech will arrive at 3-4pm instead. Received a call at 2pm that he was already at house but we were not home. Poor business practice and tech was unapologetic. Nevertheless, we just had a service call on 11/14/23 and paid $411.48. The technician most likely cracked something when he was checking out our heat pump which we later found out 6 months later when our unit is leaking puddles inside the house and the cause was the crack. We were then quoted $100 for the lineset but was charged $300. The total charged for the service was $1363.50Business response

I know that times are difficult for everyone but I was shocked and saddened by Rycor's response and failure to make good on the warranty provided by them as retailer and installer of my ********** mini-split unit. The unit was installed in 2017 and hasn't performed as expected. Another mini-split that I had installed by them the year before works perfectly. I contacted Rycor to have the problem addressed, stating that I thought that I had received a defective unit. A service person visited stating that the unit has a leak and he doesn't know where. A $200 preventive maintenance visit turned into a $600 charge for refrigerant. I was told that something was added that will make it possible for them to see the leak when they come next time but there is no telling when that will be... years, months, who knows? So now I am left having to monitor the unit for this defect, pay once again for more freon after the problem is discovered, and the promise of the warranty ignored.Business response

Hello *******. Thank you for voicing your concerns. I am surprised to see this being that we spent 45 minutes on the phone and found a resolution to your concerns already. However I feel obligated to reply to your comments. We offer a three year labor warrantee on any equipment installed by our company. ************** requires one year. We exceed that with an additional two years for a total of three years. However your system was installed almost 5 years ago. That by far exceeds any labor warranties. As I discussed with you on the phone in the future if the unit stopped working again I will look carefully at the situation with you and offer you some professional courtesies. Thank you very much for your business. Tell us why here...
