I purchased a vehicle from trevisani and laporte auto sales July 12, 2023. Before I purchased the vehicle, during the test drive, trvisani stated that he knew the brakes were bad and intended to replace the system and I'd have a used car with new brakes. They didnt actually fix the breals and I had a catastrophic brake failure and begged them to fix it. They gave myself and the emergency mechanic a lot of grief and refised to take accountability at first, the emergency mechanic said without a doubt it was neglect on their part to replace what was necessary for the vehicle to be safe to use. The mechanic told him to be honorable and fix the problem, so trevisani reluctantly picked up the vehicle and "fixed it" it stopped making the horrific noises but for only 3 months. Today i am back at that same emergency mechanic who claims this is gross neglect and charlantry of trevisani and laporte to save a buck and the new brakes are worn 80% in 3 months of a total brake, among other problems and missing pieces of the brake assembly as well as frozen or immobile parts which should be mobile. The repairs are expensive and were avoidable and the trust and damage to my relationship with trevisani is beyond gone.Business response

BBB spoke to the business owner and the following was relayed:
If she is having an issue with the brakes that we replaced, at no charge, then please tell her we are more than happy to have her bring it in and take a look. We were unaware she was having any issues with the new brakes we installed until this BBB complaint. This is the 1st BBB complaint that we've ever gotten in 35+ years of business.
We took her car out of another garage, brought it back here and replaced her brakes at no charge. The vehicle is 11 years old but new brakes should not be worn out 80%. So if they are, please tell her that we are more than happy to have her bring it in and we will take a look.
