The frame on our Mockingbird stroller is damaged and no longer safe to use as the top half of the stroller is not stable. I reached out to Mockingbird, since this failure falls within their lifetime limited stroller warranty, but they were unwilling to honor their warranty because the stroller was not directly purchased through their website. I purchased the stroller new, through ***** on June 9th 2022. In addition to the stroller, we've purchased or been gifted several accessories, that were all purchased through their website. One of these accessories is the 2nd seat kit, which using it likely caused the increased stress to the frame and premature failure. In total, we have ~$700 worth of Mockingbird products (stroller, 2nd seat kit, car seat adapter, snack tray, parent organizer, and infant seat insert) and it's disingenuous for the company to not honor their warranty especially after they recalled it knowing the design is defective. We would really appreciate a replacement frame so we can avoid using the original faulty frame. I've attached our **** receipt as well as some receipts from our relatives who gifted us accessories.Customer response

There was a recall on a stroller. I contacted the company via email about a refund and they only could offer me a kit. They sent it and I saw it, it is literally just two little pieces. I did not put it on the strollerI just stopped using my stroller altogether. I dont feel safe putting my child in the stroller. After I emailed them I contacted target and they said could give me a refund. A family emergency came up and then we had to move because of the family emergency. I called target today on May 24,2023 to make sure I could still get a refund and they said no and that I had to contact the company because the company doesnt want to give refunds. I bought the item at target for $395. I want my refund on this recalled item.Initial Complaint

We purchased a Mockingbird Stroller from the company (Confirmation #*******). My wife ********************* placed the order on November 10, 2021. We received the stroller and parts, paying a total of $508.80. Recently, there was a safety recall on the product with the frame developing cracks. They sent ** a reinforcement kit, but we contacted the business several times saying we don't feel confident putting our 16 month old baby daughter in the stroller, and that we prefer to send the stroller back for a refund. We are not able to use the stroller, and the company has not replied to our concerns in a satisfactory manner.Initial Complaint

I ordered my single stroller February 4th 2022, I ended up purchasing a lot of accessories as well. Fast forward my stroller got recalled march 17th 2023. I dont appreciate spending $550 on a stroller who is recalled. **************** is straight up refusing to refund my money. We live in ****** and I cant have my stroller potentially breaking on a icy street or in the middle of a snow storm trying to get home. This is unacceptable.Initial Complaint

I purchased the single to double Mockingbird stroller on February 2022. In November Mockingbird issued a recall on their single to double strollers for several snapping in half and mine was included in the recall. I have been asking for close to 3 weeks now for a refund or a replacement, as the reinforcement kit that is being provided as a solution does not give me any reassurance that my infant will be safe in their product. I highly researched the product beforehand, and the company had stated that they put safety and satisfaction at the top of their priorities, but only put a few days into the making of the kit to fix the strollers. I do not want a band-aid fix for an item that transports my infant, I want a product that I was promised- safe in the first place. I want to spend my money on an item that I am confident my child will be safe in. Mockingbird has continuously told me to use the kit or buy a different stroller brand, but they continuously refuse to refund me. They have been dismissive and unwilling to help in their responses. I would like a refund to support a business that cares about their consumers safety and that I know my child will be safe in.Customer response

I bought a single to double stroller in July 2022. Along with a second seat kit. The total of my purchase was $636.65. My first stroller had to be replaced because the leather handle was messed up. Since mockingbird recalled their stroller I have continually gotten automated and scripted responses ignoring my request for a refund. They claim they have a solution that has been tested and is safe. But it was thrown together so quickly. When I received their solution my husband had to manipulate it to even go on to the stroller. The little clamps to add More strength are just going to add more pressure on a plastic joint. There is no way that it will be safe long term. If they had tested it properly that would become Obvious. All I want is a refund for the unsafe stroller I was sold. It is not useable, I am not able to resell it. It is NOT safe. There are other videos of peoples front axles are breaking off as well. This stroller is a ticking timebomb. If mockingbird actually gives a **** about families and children they will do the appropriate thing and refund me and the other moms who care about their childrens safety and therefore cannot use the dangerous product that was solx to us.Customer response

I bought my mockingbird stroller on April 22,2022 about 2 months before my baby was due to prepare for her. We also bought the nuna adapter and infant attachment. From the beginning the car seat adapter was annoying but I was looking forward to when she was big enough to use it with the seat. Fast forward to October where they issue a recall, but only over a bandaid not a replacement. I am in no way comfortable putting my 13lb infant in this stroller anymore, not with a bandaid. I requested a refund or replacement and they said they have no different options. Im now out 500$ AND I have to purchase a new stroller. Also, this close to the holidays telling families to wait 3+ weeks for a reinforcement kit is ridiculous. If so few strollers were affected than they should be replacing them not offering to void your investment and make their product even more bulky than it already is.Customer response

I purchased a single to double stroller on 12/1/21 for $586 and have used it less than a year. The voluntary recall for at least 138 strollers breaking in half includes my stroller lot number. A picture of my lot number and order receipt is included. The company refuses to give a refund. I do Not trust the reinforcement kit they claim will keep the stroller safe. I do Not want to put my child at risk by using this stroller. We need a refund to purchase a stroller that is safe. This company is waiting for a baby to get seriously hurt or worse before they do anything to make this right with customers. I sent an email requesting to send the stroller back for a refund and they refused saying ****% of strollers have been affected as if childrens lives are just numbers. I refuse To support this company who would rather put kids at risk than resolve this issue.Customer response

We purchased the Mockingbird Single-to-Double Stroller a few months ago after the birth of our daughter. The stroller is a $450+ purchase. Recently they had a recall for part of the frame having cracking issues. Instead of replacing the stroller they want to send out a patch kit. With a purchase this expensive and the company issuing a recall, they should replace the entire stroller. Especially if there are known issues and the high cost to purchase. They only offer to send the patch kit out to correct this.Customer response
