I booked a bicycle rental from Unlimited Biking for a Colorado bicycle tour (Ride-the-Rockies 2024, organized by a separate company). *** tour was cancelled, and I would like to receive a refund of the bicycle rental. Unlimited Biking has offered a coupon that never expires, but it is not clear when I will be able to use it. FWIW, I am riding the tour privately, and had to rent a bike from another local company in *********(1) Bicycle rental with Unlimited Biking booked on March 30th for June 9th for Ride-the-Rockies.(2) *** tour, Ride-the-Rockies was cancelled in mid-April.(3) Unlimited Biking is offering a "never expiring" voucher instead of a refund.(4) Note, that this seems to be the Florida outfit of Unlimited Biking, and not the ** one, see the attached pdf.(5) I would like to receive a full refund of my rental fee $687.42. I offered to pick the bike up as booked (we are riding the tour anyway ;-)(6) *** standard cancellation policy of Unlimited Biking promises a full refund if cancelled 7 days in advance, see ******************************************************** (which I did). *** special policy for this event only gives a full refund if cancelled 90 days in advance, which was well before the cancellation of the ride. I would appreciate any help in getting a refund, or advise on how to proceed.Customer response

I rented a bike from Unlimited Biking for the *****************. The drop off truck was over an hour late and it took another hour plus to get fitted for my rental. The following day, the chain fell off the bike during the triathlon completely ruining the bike segment of my event. The company refuses to respond to numerous requests for a refund. Every time I call the company, a representative claims it is being "escalated to the owner". After two months, this lack of customer care has been absurd.Business response

We appreciate you sending to this over - we have gone ahead and refunded this in the system as the delay was due to circumstances unexpected on our end, but completely unacceptable to the customer experience. It is not indicative of how our events are run by any means, and we apologize as we've had a lot of staffing changes within our events team, which led to couple of new staff that are now no longer with us. We strive to provide the best service and bikes and are taking steps to make sure that we are consistently doing that. I have advised the team to provide a store credit on top of the refund for you as well so that you can try an experience again with us. Please let us know if you have not received a message from our team indicating how to use it. The refund should be reflected in your account within 3-5 business days.

I purchased a used bicycle from the company. However, the description and photos provided on their website were inaccurate. The description stated that the item was used and would have normal wear and tear. However, the bike is filled with scratches and scrapes and the wheel area is bent so that when riding the bike wobbles each time. The photos utilized on the website were of a brand new bike, which is false advertising! I paid $400+ on a bike that is now unusable. I would like either a full refund or a replacement for a bike that is in better condition. I would accept a size Medium bike if that would result in a better conditioned bicycle being provided. Would never do business with this company again!Customer response

The business did reach out, however, we havent come to any solution to the issue. Therefore, I had to file a complaint with my credit card company.
