  I got a keratin lash lift by my local Sugaring NYC on January 23rd, 2024. I have sensitive skin with long healthy natural eyelashes so I didnt want to do a regular lash lift perm as I read that sometimes your lashes can be damaged due to over processing. I also read its not the best for sensitive skin. So I did research and found that a keratin lash lift was the best option for me as it cannot be over processed because it has less chemicals or none at all. I searched for places that did this service and came across Sugaring NYCs webpage on keratin lash lifts that claim Instead of chemical perming, which is what many lash-enhancing treatments rely on, Keratin Lashes uses the very latest advancements in beauty technology to accentuate the natural eyelash and therefore, the eye itself. So imagine my shock when ** sitting in the chair and the esthetician is putting a strong chemical perm solution on my lashes. It smelled like the cheap perm solution Ive gotten on Amazon to do laminated brows on myself awhile ago. I decided to not freak out and see how it was after the service. After I was done the esthetician told me to look in the mirror and I barely saw a difference, I wear glasses so I couldnt inspect my lashes but I could tell she was unsure because she even asked do you see a difference? Before leaving, I asked her if that was a keratin treatment she used, like the website stated theyre supposed to use. She could not confidently answer me she walked back and picked up the perm kit and gave an unsure yes. When I got home I saw the damage that was done. My right eye was over processed and the ends of my lashes were fried off which made them shorter. My lashes were uncomfortably curling into my eyelid, a clear sign of over processing. I still had glue on my eyelid despite the esthetician cleaning it. A month ago, I contacted Sugaring NYC corporate with pictures and still havent received a response. I spent $99 for someone to damage my lashes.

  I received services for $100 + $15 tip that were not satisfactory. My waxing service ruined my eyebrows and did not wax all areas of my legs and back side. (************* I left a review and received a call from ***** (OC location) with an apology and a n attempt to get me to come back in. Why would I go back in? Your esthetician already ruined my brows and did a subpar job on my $100 service. I declined going back in, in fear of having the same experience. I would like a refund. The manager is also scattered, said one thing about the girl who did my service then when I said she shouldnt have been doing it at all if she had never done a **** **** she then said she did have experience and that she was just nervous. She did not look nervous and this is contradictory. All in all, poor business. Pretty shiny exterior but training and management is shoddy.

  If youre considering franchising with this company you might want to read my experience!! I was a former customer with ******************** which is how I learned about them. I received marketing emails about franchising and was so excited. I responded and was consulted immediately. The consultation process is very misleading and filled with lots of false promises. Their advertisements are all fake. Dont believe all of what you see. They promise to be with you every step of the way which is a big lie. After I paid & signed the agreement I was neglected and left in the dark. They didnt even do a background check. I was lef to do everything on my own and being that this was my first experience I truly needed the assistance they promised. I was the one constantly reaching out to them and getting my locations rejected. They basically dont care about you once they receive your money. Due to their unprofessionalism and negligence the person whom I was in agreement with for investing realized this was not going to be a good fit. I reached out a few months letting them know that I no longer wanted to move forward. They pretended like they cared & told me theyll sell my franchise territory to someone and return my money.So I basically waited and was patient throughout the entire year just to get a slap in the face by the owner telling me he sold over 100+ franchises and he is not returning my money. He was bashing me in the email and then lied about how helpful and accessible HE WAS. The owner and I never even had a single conversation until this year. I never had any information about him. So these people gave me the run around all last year and switched up their word. Do your research before you consider giving your money away to people who do not value nor respect you. I can guarantee if you do proper research you will not be in my position. The owner will literally brag in your face and blame you for everything that went wrong and take zero accountability.
