On 9 September 2022 I bought two tickets for the New Year event organized by Elsie Rooftop. On Elsie Rooftop webpage, the company was advertising the New Year's Eve event expressly mentioning that there would have been a "full view of the ball drop". A standard custumer who has never been at Elsie and who is making a reservation on a rooftop very close to ************ would be bound to believe that they are paying hundreds of dollars to see the ball drop from a terrace on ************ and not on a screen.For a person who was visiting ******** from abroad, as I was, this statement, in combination with the images used, would be even more misleading.Furthermore, the view of the ball drop on the screen was not a "full" one, and probably not even a partial one considering that the screen was showing for all the time a blurry stage with absolutely no shots of ************. Overall, the service was really bad, with not even a possibility to leave the jacket if you had no cash, as card payment was not accepted. Also one of the attendees started a fight putting in danger hundreds of people and, although Elsie security noticed it, the attendee was not immediately taken away. Instead, he was just stopped and allowed to stay so he could start another fight, which I did two more times and ended up on us pouring his drink on my dress and my fiance suit. For all the reasons described above, which include misleading advertisement, false statements, emotional distress, very poor service and lack of security action, I asked a total refund of my two tickets. Elsie Rooftop agreed to a full refund of the two tickets paid (+$500), but has never processed them properly.Business response
